Hey there. Just finished off a nice session of Final Fantasy 15. So it got me thinking about my Final Fantasy crossover. I just wanted to share some info regarding relations to past characters. Since this is a sequel series to the show set 1000 plus years after it ended, there are descendants of past characters running around. I have been thinking of making Snips and Snail's descendants the Biggs and Wedge of the fic Trixie's descendent may appear in this fic. I'm thinking of calling her Lula. But that leaves the mane six's descendants.
Firefly is descended from Rainbow Dash.
Arlet I mentioned is descended from the Apple family, though specifically from Applejack.
And Tempest surprisingly is descended from Rarity.
Pinkie Pie's descendants run the Equestria version of the Gold Saucer.
Fluttershy's descendants run a Chocobo Ranch.
And Twilight's descendants rule Equestria now.
As for the other three characters, Gusty the Griffon, Dodger the Diamond Dog, and Mogan the dragon. They are not descended from any known MLP characters. And likewise the Cid of the story isn't descended from anyone either. These family lines won't have any real impact on the game. I just felt it would be worth mentioning. So I'm planning on Tempest's having some importance. And likewise Midnight's seeing that Twilight was the main character of FIM and said descendent Midnight is the other POV character. Think of it like how in FF 8 you sometimes switched to playing as Laguna.
Now as for the fic itself. I'm planning on making this my signature series. A lot of the great authors have their own series they are remembered for, like Kkat with Fallout Equestria. Though I don't know if this fic will be well known, I just want this to be my main thing in MLP writing. And I mean by that as sequels and maybe some side stories. I know how I want my fanfic to end, and I have an idea for a sequel continuing it. I mean sure there have been other stand alone final fantasy stories, but some have made continuations and expanded the world. I mean heck, FF 7 is set implied to be set in the same universe as FF 10, just thousands of years into the future and on a different planet no less. I mean I don't plan on the ending to this fic having a sequel hook. It will end and it will seem final, but I think the world could still be explored further in future installments.
