Whoops, I have a blog!

Hello followers! And, uh, anyone who happens to stop by and sees this!

It only took me a couple of years to figure out that there's a blog function on this site, LOL! I'm not sure what I would blog about, but I thought I should put up one anyway! Let's see, maybe I should talk about myself!

I'm Apple Bottoms, and I joined FIMFiction primarily to join the Everfree Northwest writing competition in 2015! I saw the contest advertised on Equestria Daily, and I thought, I wanna enter that! But I'll have to make a FIMFiction account! I wasn't sure what name to pick, since a lot of popular pony names are already taken, and I didn't want to be RainbowDash48348273463! I thought I would pick a whimsical, silly name like Apple Bottoms (which is canon!) because A) I saw him first in a blind bag toy and thought it was HILARIOUS and B) I thought, if I pick a goofy name, then I won't feel so bad when I don't place, because then I'll be spared the embarrassment of having my silly name published in the conbook!

Cue me winning, and having "Apple Bottoms" printed alongside my winning fanfic... I played myself!

Anyway, I enjoy writing a lot, but I don't always write pony fanfic, so a lot of it doesn't end up on my FIMFiction account! Sorry guys! I'm pretty swamped IRL, but I do enjoy writing a lot, so I try to make time every year to enter the EFNW contest! I only wish I could attend someday, and enter the in-person "Iron Author" contest - that sounds so fun!! Only two hours to churn out a great fanfic?! Sounds like a great challenge!!

Anyway, I hope that gives you guys a bit of insight into my background! Someday I hope to be a 'real' writer, with a book and everything, so cross your hooves for me!
