I normally don't do this, but a very close, personal friend of mine, Angie Kae of DeviantArt (http://mustlovefrogs.deviantart.com/), whose work has appeared on Equestria Daily, is undergoing surgery next week to improve her quality of life.
Normally this would enough to warrant urging people to send her their support and well wishes, but even as she's preparing to undergo this surgery, she and her partner are facing eviction from their apartment. So she might come home from the hospital to find that she no longer has a home. They have less than a week to raise $1,000.

For those wanting something in return for their support, she's a very gift artist and is offering special commissions, as are some of her artist friends, to help raise the necessary money. I'm an artist myself so I can't really justify buying art comissions most of the time... but you said you're close friends with this person? What if I send them money in return for a writing comission from you?

there are two things I'm in the market for a good writer for:
-one of them would require a lot of world-building and creative ideas for unique ways a fantasy race/society could interact with their environment.
- the other one is much more character-focused. I want a mystery story from the viewpoint of someone with a secret admirer who is trying to figure out who that admirer is!
which of these genres would you say your skills as a writer are more suited towardds?
