Be still, sad heart! and cease repining; Behind the clouds is the sun still shining.

You probably know how this sort of thing goes. There you are, mowing your grass on a day that can't decide whether to shine or drizzle on you, a few years and counting into your non-writing streak. Whatever thoughts you're having are at the expense of your lawnmower picking a fight with every passing tuffet and losing.

A jolly update for folk who like either fanfic readings or The Motion of the Stars, and a downright rapturous one for folk who like both. My name is R has brought their vocal talent to bear on the story, complete with images and background music to help

A nice breezy dialogue to ease in with:

Folks might recall a story I cranked out last February, Thunderstorm and the Four Winds, an attempt at a mythic piece thrown through the combined wringers of Rainbow Dash's narration and my own flailing attempts at first-person recounting of a largely third-person narrative.

If you were left looking at said piece and thinking to yourself, "I'd like to read that again, only better," then think no more. One brave and inspired soul tackled the whole piece and parsed it into an epic format, cutting through my own and Rainbow Dash's cackhandery to get at the core of the piece. They posted their efforts in the comments section then, and have now seen fit to publish it as a full-blown story on the site with my blessing. Go check out The Epic of Thunderstorm and the Four Winds. It's affa fine.

Recursive fanfiction's always a delight. Recursive fanfiction in the style of an epic, especially so.
