I know I said I'd finish Junker's Paradise this week, but like most people who work on a project for a very long time, I have had a run in with a dreaded, evil creature called burnout. So, instead of trying to push through the problem by force and risk screwing up the story at hand, I'm going to divert my focus onto two things: Order of No Quarter: Equestrian Frontier, and another idea in the works: a Tokumei Sentai Gobuster crossover fanfic. Now this doesn't mean I'm giving up on Junker's Paradise, quite the opposite. I'll put in time and effort towards finishing it, but I'm going to be on a strict deadline due to my graduation coming up, and needing to return the school chromebook I'm currently using to type this blogpost and transferring my account over to my Xbox one, and that's going to be a pain in the ass to type with until I can get a new computer.
So continuing on from before I got sidetracked, The Tokumei Sentai fic will be featuring the "Monsters of the week" known as Metalloids, or creations of the Messiah A.I virus program created by infecting objects with a Metavirus card. There are a few problems with trying to integrate this type of fiction. The main problem is a stupid one... I have no idea how technologically advanced the society of Equestria is, seeing as I only watched up to Season 3. I know this is going to make me sound and look a dumbass, but are gas cylinders, impact drills, vacuum cleaners, cotton candy machines, spray paint, and karate canon? I mean, I can assume that bulldozers and excavators aren't by use of deductive reasoning and common knowledge, but I'm don't want to assume that bicycles and fire extinguishers aren't just in case they are canon. If someone could help out there, I would appreciate it. The second problem is how the Metalloids are created from Enetron, the energy source of the series, not being remotely present in FIM, but I can work around that. One thing I will do is if someone wants a fan made Metalloid to appear in the fic, all you need to do is tell me what the infected object is and a japanese word relating to what what your baddie's main ability or directive is, and I'll do the rest, absolutely free. ( e. g. Infected object: Sewing machine, Metavirus: Nuu = to sew, Mishinloid, Mishin meaning sewing machine in japanese.)
