    Virus 2020

I do hope everyone is staying safe and sane. This Covid crap has crippled a lot of businesses and many economies will be suffering for a while.
Just keep your head up and don't panic. There is life after this madness.
    Be well.

    What is to come.

Taking into account feedback and my own thoughts on the matter, here is currently my plan moving forward. Subject to change if necessary.
    1) An epilogue chapter will be done to cap the current main story into Book 1. This will not end the main storyline, only to leave a solid stopping point for the next part of the story.

I am not dead yet. Really, I'm feeling better.

If you get the quote, you get a gold star or a cookie or a gold cookie? I dunno, better than coconuts I guess.
So, long story short, life can be a brutal, brutal thing. And while I may not have it nearly as bad as others, it's rough to shoulder things on your own.

    Horse Noises

    *Horse Noises*
    *Horse Gestures*
    *Frustrated Horse Noises*
    *Horse Head Bobbing*
    *Horse Tailflick*
    *Finishing Horse Noises*

And for those of you who do not speak Equestrian, I guess I'll translate.
While the world has not fallen upon my head, spare time has been a bit tougher to come by.

What has been going on and more horse words to come · 3:19am Apr 20th, 2017

Hello dear readers,
It's been a while.
So I wanted to give you a run-down of what's been going on the last couple of years and why the delays to the story.
I feel like you deserve that much before moving forward.
Short version, the apartment I was renting alone reached a point where it was no longer affordable. Combine that with my job laying me off. I took a new job but it required longer hours and longer commute. Which did drastically cut into writing time.
Once my lease was up, I rented a room from a fellow brony. Alas, I only wish I knew the drama I was in for. For the year I was there, the population of the house rose to 9. In a four bedroom house. The noise, stress, drama, commute, etc. I'm lucky I managed to get out the last chapter with the whirlwind of madness that surrounded me.
That ended, and I moved into an apartment with a few people from that house who were sane. But again... noise. Always noise. Kids stomping above my head, roomies with TV turned up too loud. Every time I sat down to write, it was frustrating to put thoughts to the page. I hated that I couldn't get anything done for this tale.
So that brings us to recent events. I bought a house. (well, mortgaged one) Things will be tight for a bit, but I'll make it work. The greatest part, I'm alone again. No more kids stomping over my head or roomates who can't chill. It's been a whirlwind of tasks to put the house in order. It is a LOT of work. And I still have things to fix. But at last, I am in a position to begin writing with more regularity.
I apologize for the long wait. And I know the pony fandom has shrank in the last year or two. As is the nature of all fandoms past the peak excitement. But if you're still around, thank you for your patience and know that the adventure of Luna and Starstep will continue soon.
TL;DR
Life is complex and frustrating. But I'm in my own home and I can write again in peace. More pony words will flow.

Congrats on the house mate, also on not being dead.

Thank you for the update on what has been going on.
I do understand that life can (and often does) happen, causing us writers to not be able to write. That you have not given up, and you are getting back into the swing of things, that is good to hear. Even better, it is awesome that things have turned around in your life.

I applaud you for your perseverance, some people remain we are few, but strong :)

I feel your pane as I have hit my braking point last summer packed my shit and divorced my now X.
my elderly mouther requires 24 / 7 care more some one to keep a eye on her and as I am the only living family well I am hear full time.
on the down side I can't work and watch mom and if I did work and have some one watch hear lol I would have to make $25 per hour to afford that.
any who I am glade to see and hear your life is turning around for you an di wish you the best.
as to your story's get you life to gather first so you can relax and start to enjoy your righting agene.

you can persevere! Hopefully you can enjoy writing again, I have the feeling starstep has a long ways to go yet.

A house is a big step. Congratulations on taking that step.

4502621 Huh, why is the area around your post a faded blue? But thanks. I try not to die.

4502624 It's been a rough and tumble madness these last couple of years. But I've never forgotten the story or my desire to tell it to you all.

4502629 There's a term I'm trying to think of that describes someone who refuses to relent even under doomed circumstances. It escapes me :derpytongue2:

4502638 Sorry to hear you're having a rough time. Hang in there.

4502639 Starstep's next stage is a rough one politically. He doesn't have the ruling power of the Sisters, but behind every great Princess is a man carrying the luggage.

4502659 No joke. I thought I was going to lose my mind in the process of getting it. Renting apartments is a cake-walk compared to this madness. But onwards and upwards!

Whoa. I dropped the story 44 chapters in... 4 years ago. I don't even remember why I stopped reading, but I apparently never unfollowed you. So when I saw this blog post in my feed, I remembered how invested in this story I was for a long while.

I'm definitely going to pick this up again if you're going to start updating it.

I have been waiting and will continue reading when you write! Been looking forward to the rest of this story. Grats on your new home!

Unyielding
Persistent
Determined
Stubborn bastard
Relentless(in pursuit of an object goal or person)
Word things
Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Unbreakable will
or simply hope, even in the darkest of hours, hope could be considered salvation and/or true despair.

Congrats on the house. Life definitely gets in the way, i've been trying to get a fic written for 2 years now. Made absolutely no progress.

There will always be people here to read horsewords.

your post blew me away it was a nice blast from the past

4502734 Trying to get it written? Time constraints or writers block? Noise and stress were my two biggest limiting factors.

4502692 Yup, horsewords are coming. 44 is an odd spot to pause in the story, I do hope you'll take the time to read on. :rainbowdetermined2:

don't take this the wrong way, but I am vary happy I should have divorced that witch years ago. :scootangel:
and I love caring for my mom and I am not sure but she may be the oldest brony at 83 years young she has bean following pony for years I remember her watching it with me back when G1 was on the TV.

glad your back and congrats on getting a house, I wish you luck and may writers block never hamper your pony words

4502923 time constraints mostly. I'm in college and my degree program is very time intensive and draining. Plus I haven't written for pleasure before, so it's still something i'm trying to break into.

Good to hear you are going in a good direction, my friend. I know the feeling... the annoyance that other people spread when close to you and just being a pain.:trollestia:

Take your time with your new house. Get it all nice and cozy, then think about the story.

Dude, this is awesome to hear from you. I was afraid you had lost interest in the fandom or worse, had passed away. Glad to hear you are well and that your situation has improved. It's good to see you on your feet man.

And holy hell I'm fucking excited. This story is probably one of my all time favorites on here, it has me so hooked. Really happy to see where you are gonna take it.

We're all just happy to hear things are starting to work out for you. Definitely look forward to reading your stuff again but take as much time as you need. I'm sure I can speak for most of everyone who has stuck around that we would rather you be having as much fun writing as we do reading.

Your story is one of the best out here in FIMFiction, I'm excited to see it being continued and I really hope I can see it eventually come to conclusion!

One of my most favoritester stories I've read, I ain't giving up looking at updates on it until I find myself physically unable.

Many, so very many of us have patiently awaited your return.

You are warmly received with open arms.

Hope life has eased up on you.

Glad to hear you're back! Been following the story for 4 years now, I would hate for it all to go unfinished

Congrats on getting your own home man. It's a big step.

mate are you still busy with the house or did something else came up?
