Good evening everybody and everypony, I am your host Roslin Yos of the USECNBN from Evangelista station orbiting Earth. There is much to talk about.
Celebrations, both on Earth and Unity are already underway in accordance with Unification Day; the national holiday celebrating the unification of Human and Equestrians. While Unity celebrates this momentous day, humans and small teams of ponies on Earth have finally released a statement on the status of what could be the biggest challenge Earth has faced yet.

President Angeline Morin has given a speech several hours ago, commending the citizens of the United Sol-Equus Commonwealth residing on Unity for their cooperation and harmonious coexistence.
“Life between human and equine has been quite the adventure for all races involved, I can imagine. It is time for us to reunite with our companions on Unity and take our rightful place among the stars!”
It has been twenty-five years since Humanity made contact with the various races of Unity, namely the ponies of Equestria. The process of diplomacy was hard initially, with distrust between both parties growing at an exponential rate even through the peaceful leadership of President Brenson and Queen Twilight Sparkle. There did not seem to be a trace of hope that our races could ever live harmoniously with one another in the first years since a migration treaty was signed between the two parties. Things looked grim for a time. Disharmony and imbalance plagued the land of Equestria, plunging it into a seemingly endless winter.
It was through this tumultuous time that both humans and ponies learned The Bridge--a portal bridging the gap between Earth and Unity--collapsed and all seemed lost. After the discovery of the hyperlanes, The Sol Commonwealth sent the Maia probe to the planet in hopes of reestablishing contact. After ten years of excruciating waiting, our satellites picked up a signal from Equus, containing a message from the Equestrian monarch Queen Twilight Sparkle. In that message, she detailed the newfound peace between the two races, the end of their ‘never-ending’ winter and efforts of trying to make contact. Efforts that were fraught with failure due to their lack of adequate technology.
Since the Maia probes have established a concrete means of contact, Equus and Sol have kept each other in the loop with news broadcasts and updates on Earth’s progress in creating an interstellar highway, bridging the two systems together. A new holiday was announced by Queen Sparkle, named Unification Day in honor of the harmony between Humans and Equestrians and has negotiated with the early Morin Administration an alliance between our species, marking the birth of the United Sol-Equus Commonwealth.
Evangelista Station finished construction just five years ago and since then has completed construction of five ships.
In other news, scientists here on Earth claim to have perfected the hyperdrive systems and have already installed them on board the ships finished last month, constructed on Evangelista Station.
The 1st Recon Fleet is a military scouting squadron consisting of only three Smilodon-Class corvettes and will travel to the Equus system starting next week. The UNS Virginia will act as the fleet’s flagship, commanded by Captain Justin Lennox, who has served The Commonwealth Marine Corps for more than thirty years. He expressed his deepest gratitude for being chosen by President Morin herself to lead this fleet. While their objectives are clear many of the crew on board have expressed concern for plunging into the unknown.
The UNS Virginia: a Smilodon class corvette ship, flagship of the 1st Recon Fleet and will be the first ship to enter Unity’s atmosphere.
After ensuring Unity is in perfect condition, the 1st Recon Fleet will begin searching nearby star systems in our local cluster for suitable planets for the USEC to colonize.
Meanwhile, President Morin will commision several transport ships to bring our fellow humans back home, as well as arriving herself to discuss the USECs next plan of action. What they will discuss remains a mystery to the populace for now, but we can all assume the best possible outcome.

The UNS Clarke has begun deep scan surveys of the Sol system, spearheaded by the brilliant Magdalena Esquerra. The USEC hopes for her and her crew to discover sources of minerals and energy on other worlds, allowing companies here on Earth to construct mining stations to extract these resources. The ship is outfitted with several deep surface scanners and multiple drones which can be controlled from the ship’s central command center.
Once Ms. Esquerra finishes a survey of the Sol System, she will proceed onwards to Equus and follow the flight paths of The 1st Recon Fleet, surveying the systems they visit. We here at USECNBN wish everyone luck on their journeys.
This has been Roslin Yos broadcasting from Evangelista Station. Godspeed everyone.
