Georg just posted The Cancellation of Prince Blueblood, which is short (1600 words) and funny. It has a humorous ending, but doesn't rely on just that for its laughs. No ponies swear, have sex, or mislead you into thinking they're having sex when they're doing something innocent. But this is not an innocent story. For Blueblood has done something truly terrible.
Cobra Commander snuck his short story Pinkie Pie Meets the Universe out while I wasn't looking. It's longer, at 3200 words, but, hey, we're talking the entire Universe here. Read it and learn. The galaxy you save from annihilation may be your own. It was on Equestria Daily, and it has 103 thumbs-up and no thumbs-down, something I've never achieved.
GhostOfHeraclitus' Whom the Princesses Would Destroy is complete, and waiting for EqD's stamp of approval or facehoof of ignominy. If you like British humor—I'm not sure what British humor is, but this is definitely a subtype of it, more Jeeves and Wooster than Monty Python—you may want to watch him now so you'll know when it comes out.
I have a couple of new short stories myself, but I'm letting them stew a while longer.
