I have a question about my new story · 7:12am Apr 14th, 2017
So, my new story, Terrors of the Town, has been fairly popular (thanks to all who followed it!) And now, to be honest, I'm terrified I'm going to mess up the next chapter and totally ruin everything.
I'm just wondering if you guys have anything in particular that you want to see. A particular line or idea? A particular chapter plot, even? I have no idea where I want to go next. I'm not short on ideas, I just want to make sure I can please all of my readers.
Thanks for your help. Signing off.
Hmmm...I can think on it in the morning. sleepy right now.
Don't start trying to please all of your readers, you'll end up pleasing nobody.
Just write what you want to write, and if people complain, fuck em.

Best advice.
Don't worry about what some people might think, as long as you write a chapter that you like, you'll definitely do well.
What SideJerk and Abronie said. If you're struggling to come up with ideas maybe get a pad and write some down. Not like an entire beat sheet from beginning to end, but just concepts. Like "What would be the most Rarity thing to do when she was Sweetie Belle's age" or "What would they do that the Crusaders WOULDN'T do (or have not done YET)"
Hell, we got an episode all about A.J learning the importance of honesty through a bad business deal, so we know she's not quite there yet as a kid. There's probably some possibilities there. There's probably a lot of stuff the big sister's tell the Crusaders not to do, not because they're adults but because they're speaking from experience.
Also even though this will contradict what I'm about to say, Fluttershy's around and you mentioned Dash's parents want her to experience diversity, right? What if the other two discover Dash does "pegasus stuff" (so really kid's stuff but just involving flight) with Fluttershy and feel left out the way kids do when they find out someone does things without them?
And as much as that's as equally valid a direction to go as any, the only thing I'd urge you NOT to do is rely too much on "Where was THIS character all those years back" or "Hey look, it's THIS character/thing that won't happen until they're like 18!" Done right it's cute but it's not really storytelling as much as Easter Egg hunting.
What SunnyJerk said- write what you want, and don't worry about pleasing anypony. The story already has tons of viewers, and there are tons of Bronys/Pegasisters always awaiting your next chapter. Somewhere, there are dozens of fanpeople out there who cling onto your words and whose days were brightened by your work.
If I wanted to write this story I would. I want to know what your story is and what you do with it.
Good luck!

I would sit down and think about what you would like to read. Don't try to write what your readers want. Just like previous commenters have said, you have a wealth of possibilities and a great little premise that has a faithful fan base.
And I'm one of those Pegasisters Moonglow mentioned, btw.

Now, about that next chapter... how long do you think it'll be before it's out?

Well, this afternoon I am going to post the next chapter of one of my other stories, which I have been working on since I posted Terrors of the Town. That was the major obstacle stopping me from writing chapter 3 of TotT (wow that looks weird). I wanted to finish my other story before I came back to this one. So now that I've finished that one, I can start working on the next chapter of TotT. I'll probably start tomorrow, and then, depending on how much time and energy I have to write, it could be done as soon as this weekend. ;) we'll have to see.
