FMF 17: 7 April 2017

Hey guys and welcome back to another Fandom Music Friday! What have I been doing this week? Making big moves as a brony, that's what! Proud to say that I made the announcement on social media. Reactions to me being a brony have been either silence or approval with few exceptions. How'd I do it? Well, by hyping myself up on music, of course!

I've listened to a lot of music this week. I've gone back to Black Gryph0n and Michelle Creber pretty heavily; I've been listening to some oldies like "Loyalty" and "Kindness." But I've already featured pieces like those, so I'll be featuring something new today. Technically, this cover came out after my brony announcement, but the lyrics really got to me. So here it is: "Wonderbolt" covered by EileMonty.

Though it's a Wonderbolt song, if you replace "Wonderbolt" with "Brony," the lyrics make for a great song for finding one's identity as a brony. And of course EileMonty is an amazing singer as usual. The lyrics really hit home for me, not just as a brony, but as an author. I'm not taking my craft as seriously as I could/probably should be, to my shame. This song got me thinking, it's going to take dedicated effort to follow my dream of becoming an author/novelist. The words are bordering accusatory at times; "If you're going to be reckless/ you can leave your dreams behind." Once again, my fandom is here for me. Music always pulls through for me.
