Well there, hello again Bronies and Pegasisters! It is I, the SillyDuck and I have returned... or rather completed Whinny City Pony Con 2017. I say that because as we speak I am still sitting here with several people from the con and it was amazing. I'm a so-so author at best, but I love what I do, so I can try and regale you all with my tales from the con... but most likely I will give you snippets and leave you wanting more. But I either met or spoke with several other authors and many fellow fans and it was amazing. If you're at all interested, feel free to take a look after the break.
This weekend was absolutely amazing. I should note this was my first con ever and I may fanboy about the wrong things or miss details on others, but hey, it is what it is. The opening ceremonies on Friday were fantastic, despite the lack of Apple Horse love in the opening video 
(but we all still know AJ is best pony). This con was actually the first time I ever met up with my co-author and LSBFF Moonlit Sparkle in person. Needless to say, she is as amazing as you all think she is 
.
Following the opening ceremonies was actually the Guest's of Honor panel, which was... interesting to say the least. Most entertaining was watching Claire Corlette try to play the Nintendo Switch! 
I think since my time is short right now though I'll save the play-by-play for later. But just a major shout out to some of the awesome people we met! Meeting Argodaemon was absolutely amazing. I met several awesome other FimFic authors, including Calm Wind, Vivid Syntax, and one of the first authors I ever found when I joined FimFic (and loved his stuff) Ruirik! A great author, CoffeeMinion at least made it in spirit through Skype due to some unforeseen circumstances keeping him from the con.
I'll let Vivid explain in detail about his work at the con, needless to say as a staffer he did an amazing job. Plus he may or may not have written a script that may or may not have been read by some people... 
Anyways, I'll fill you in with more later. For now, food and other like minded ponies are calling my name! Ciao!
I'm glad you had so much fun! I'm super happy I got to meet you and Moonlit Sparkle, and I can't wait to see you again at more cons in the future. Thanks for the shout out, too! I'm going to put my con report together soon, so keep an eye out!
