    On Sex in Romance

I don't think that sex scenes in romance are "necessary"; for many stories, depending on tone, mood, intention, etc, they would be extremely superfluous. I don't believe they should be described in lengthy, erotic detail in many stories, either, even though that is what some consider most "gratifying" about them.

How do you (the follower) feel about smut / clean stories

    Hey there,

I haven't posted anything for a million years, but that may change soon. Dunno. We'll see.

This blog post is entirely to gauge feedback on two types of stories that have not yet existed on this page. My stuff up until now has been a mixture of romance and sex, but I am curious about how you guys would feel about stories that are:

    1) all sex, pure smut, little/no buildup

    Quick Update

I don't expect many people are still checking in/asking "Where the heck has Idylia been?" but I figure it's good to say something every once in a while.

I'm still here, checking the site daily pretty much.
I'm still editing stuff for people. That's the majority of my interaction with the site as of late.
I have ideas for writing and now I believe I have the motivation for it as well.

"Where Have You Been?" and other nonsensical doodads and hootenanies

TL;DR and also a convenient organizational outline
    1. College
    2. Taking care of myself
    3. Being lazy
    4. Engaging socially with other human beings
If these reasons aren't sufficient (they're certainly not for me) add "is difficult" to the end of those and you might feel a little bit better about them, regardless of whether they are or not (see: my methods of coping).

    In order.

Hello!

I realize that nearly none of you will read this blog post, but I figured I would make it anyways as an announcement for those of you who are following me.

As of right now, Fading Eclipse is going to stay a one shot. I have a good idea, potentially, for a direction it could go, but I am devoting my efforts to other ideas in the meantime. I may end up finishing it, and I may not.

On the offhand, I spent nearly all of yesterday and today writing just for you all! I have a concept for a story that I feel is more relate-able, and has more potential for conflict that doesn't feel forced. If you don't know me as a writer (which, granted, you don't have a very large sample size for) then you don't know that I like story-- actual story, and actual emotions behind my characters. The reason I am experimenting with clop at all is because I see the potential for some very huge, very mature emotions when a sexual nature is added to a piece.

I have already completed one chapter of this fic (7.5k words long) but am waiting on myself to write more, to create a backlog for it. I think this will help me personally want to finish this story.

I am also a very naturally verbose and descriptive writer. While, in some occasions, that is a bad thing, in anything explicit I find myself preferring more detail as opposed to less.

On the other hand, I have some stories that are more sensual and less clop that I had written a while ago that I may post to this account. You can see those stories up on my account right now, actually.

Thank you, the few of you who do follow me. If you are a future follower of me, and felt like checking back in my blog to see what I posted before you signed up, thank you for your support as well.

With all love,
Idylia

Err.. nevermind those stories I talked about. I went back and reread one and it wasn't really clop whatsoever, nevermind all that great. If you want me to send you the google docs links personally, I'll do so, but I don't want to post them here.
