Council of the Relative · 6:25pm Mar 25th, 2017
Due to certain logistical issues, we almost certainly won't be announcing the winners of Imposing Sovereigns today. Rest assured that we're working on making the delay as brief as possible. Thank you for your patience.
All on me, folks. Sorry about that. Two jobs are a bitch to balance.

So, since Council of the Absolute can't select creature or land cards, that begs the question: are stories classified as instants, sorceries, or enchantments?
Also, one final bit of good luck to the entrants. May the Hammer of Three Strangers' Opinion have mercy on our faces.

You gotta read like half a million words, man. Don't worry; we get it.
I was honestly surprised that FoME here didn't change the deadline, to be completely honest. Reading all that stuff in just 5 days sounded a little bit extreme, especially if three people gotta do it. So take it easy; we all just wanna have fun, after all.
Frankly, if you guys even made it through half of that giant stack of stories, color me mightily impressed.
Logistical issues, you say? Might that have anything to do with trying to read and fairly evaluate 300k in five days?
Good luck in finishing this pile we've made!

I just read yours. Holy shit that was good.

My apologies for giving you only a week to read everything, especially after extending the deadline.
I've read one whole story so far, don't feel bad :V
<Harshwhinny> So unprofessional, Mr. Everything. </Harshwhinny>
Actual author of post disagrees with HTML Harshwhinny, of course.
Ah well. These things happen.
It is quite a feat, though. I estimate the total word count as roughly 307,259 words, or roughly three decent-sized novels. At a reading rate of 250 words per minute, that's a total reading time of roughly 1,229 minutes, or nearly 20 hours and a half. That is assuming you have extreme stamina and patience, and ignoring variations in pacing. It also ignores the necessary time for letting any particular story sink in, and the time needed for evaluation, final judgement, and waiting for your fellow judges to give their takes.
All in all, I think I can wait. Will the deadline be moved to next weekend instead?

Naw. We're just still haggling over price.

Price? Whatever do you mean?
Expect a counter offer by the morning

4471798 That is already more than I hoped for from this contest. FOME's rightful, righteous name.
