Airship? Hah!!!

Equestria Daily just posted a new toy that everyone seems to think is an airship. It's a ship, with a snap on top.
A hard snap on top, not a soft one.

It's not an air ship. It's a submarine.

Piff. I have a fondness for non-airbag/balloon airships and even I think that one isn't a proper airship.

Some air ship do have semi-ridged air containers. I suppose there have to be a few compromises. I remember the Teddy Ruxpin airship when my daughter was young. It had a basket with an actual inflatable balloon.

Rainbow Dash has goggles on. Ergo, it is an airship.

Also, I think it says "Pirate Airship" on the box, in the bottom of the picture under "Rainbow Dash".

The thing is, I don't see a Rainbow Dash figure in there. Maybe it's just the angle, but...

It could be a rigid or semi-rigid airship. It would make sense for Rainbow Dash, as I can't see a pegasus being too happy on the water instead of airborne.

hmmm well we already know that seaponies will be a thing for the movie based on casting and characters, and we also know there will be a villain called the storm king (Liev Schreiber voices him YES), as well as pirates, so I think it's an airship that can become a ship, and also a submarine. It's not too far out of the realm of possibilities for MLP.
