I've been getting various comments on stories and in PM's from people asking me about the future of stories and whether or not I plan to update things or just generally what the heck is going on, since my stories haven't been updated in like... forever and a half.
So, here's things as they stand.
If only we lived like a hundred or so years in the future, where mankind finally invented devices to record our thoughts straight onto a computer.

Made this a while ago, figured i'd share it here. For the fans. I was originally planning to include it with the next chapter. But it might be a while yet before i can finish that one.

Another year closer to being old and decrepit. Maybe i should start looking into Necromancy. Being a lich can't be all that bad can it?
Just wanted to let you good readers know, I won't be working on the next update for Evergreen heart until after April 15th, because I have some other stuff going on that takes up the time I normally use to write. I did get some work done on the next chapter already, but I wont resume work on it until then.

good luck with whatever stuff you're doing. This story is fun to read and well worth some waiting.
Oh hey, and while i'm thinking about it. I recently watched a couple snippets from Planet Earth II. There was an episode on plants and one of them had a latex like substance going through it. The plant used the stuff to protect itself against caterpillars. The little blighters would bite into the leaf and foamy goop would poor out of the wound, trapping and suffocating the tiny baby butterflys.
Don't know if that would help Aaron in a more combat orientated situation, I'm thinking he could make his own clothes or something with it. you used a rubbery fungus earlier in the story, maybe this could add on to his disguises and help him fit in. Anyway, if you haven't already, watch the planet earth thing. it's just cool stuff that plants can do and i find that relevant to this story.
Look forward to the next update, no rush. As "Ash Bark" said, the story is most certainly worth the wait.

Also, recently when I imagine something's what Aeron might be capable of when motivated enough, I usually end up thinking Mordemoth (Elder dragon of Plant and Mind) from GW2; Hearth of thorn's. That thing was quite literally EVERYWHERE at peak of it's power...
