Made it to Equestria Daily. · 7:29pm Mar 16th, 2017
Welp, I did it. I had a goal of making it to Equestria Daily (mostly for the bragging rites and whatever exposure I can get from it) and I accomplished that.

Congrats, cunt. You earned it by being that much of a whore and a sellout, and by conforming to standards that make you feel like a butcher while not actually improving your work much.
Okay, NOW you're ready to be a writer. Seriously, congrats on getting your work there! :)
Good for you, I've always wanted my stories to be featured on EQD!
Congrats indeed! I know EQD will never accept my work, but I like hearing about others succeeding.
So that's what this rewrite of "A Stallion's Strength" was for..... May I ask what they named as requirements for the fic making it on there?
And congratulations! Making it on EQD is not easy with a fic.

What they named?
More like what they listed.

That much?

Well 2k words was added, so...

What adds and requirements did they list to you?
Besides a lot of things, they had me add a lesson kind of thing at the end that I didn't really want in the first place. Feels kind of preachy to me.

That's kind of what I feared. This is stuff that EQD does. Essentially requiring authors to rewrite their stories so that it meets the taste of whatever pre-reader gets to the story first in exchange for getting it featured.
It's all pretty shady how they go about that. That's why I often advise authors against trying to get on EQD by force. If they get the chance, they should take the offer, but not if they have to alter their story for that.
Instead of ensuring that quality stories get on Equestria Daily, the pre-readers just ensure that stuff they like to read makes it up there.
EQD should really go by objective quality standards for fics here, rather than judging based on ideas, but I can't see that happen ever with this site.
