First of all, I AM well at work writing the next chapter of "Lost in Manehattan", but...I'm wondering, should I make the chapter long, or would you all understand if I just made the chapter short? The reason I ask is because I'm five pages in the chapter and have 1,571 words in it so far. I feel like you guys should at least have somewhat a lengthy chapter, probably around 4,000 to 5,000 words, but...do you all want that?
But I do want to apologize for the long wait. It's just that I've been so busy with my other projects on FF.Net lately, as well as life stuff such as my dad recovering after a surgery(long story short, he had colon cancer surgery around February and they just reconnected the colon again last Tuesday), and having a puppy who won't leave me alone when she wants to play, that I can't seem to have the time to calmly sit down and write. But still, the question remains; should I make a short satisfying chapter or should it be a long one? Do any of you readers out there actually care at all that I make a short chapter? It's just I have a lot of projects to do and I don't want to neglect them, plus my dad is recovering after his second surgery, and I want to help him out around the house when I can. Also, my puppy really does play with me at the worst times(she's a cute little needy dog. XP ).
So...yeah, would you all understand if I just maybe write like a short chapter that's probably 2,000 to 3,000 words long, or would you all want a long one with 4,000 to 5,000 words? I really don't want to keep you all waiting any longer, so do know that I'm still writing this story, and that I haven't given up on it. :)

Also to your stories and life, life comes first and it is completely understandable for why you haven't been updating. Please, upload load the 2,000 word chapter. Many chapter stories varies between the word count, so it is completely fine. Like I said, life comes first and again I hope your dad gets well, man.

I agree, family and life comes first, always. You can always come back to writing at your leisure. However if you do get a 'aha!' moment or inspiration, you should just write down what you come up with, so that you can come back and rewrite or revise. The muse is a fleeting thing, and sometimes you have to put pen to paper, even if it's just like 200 words or just a idea, because as soon as the inspiration strikes, it can leave as quickly as it had arrived.
Don't worry about anything, because your life and family has to come first. Because we understand it takes time to finish, and besides it's not like were going anywhere.
