So I'm a jeweler. It's what I've done for a living the last 10 years. Over the last three months I've slowly started getting my home studio better equipt in order to venture into the world of self-employment. I've have my watch repair bench up an running for a while now, but my jewelry bench is just now getting back to a functioning condition. I have a bit left to go, but in a week or two I should be all systems go.
That said, I would invite any of you to consider me should you need any jewelry. From engagement rings to fandom pieces, I'd be happy to give you a quote. I generally can offer better quality than the big chain stores for half the price or less. I also repair watches. Pre-1914 pocket watches are my specialty, I have several for sell if interested.
I have an instagram showing some things I put together at my last employer. They're not my designs, but I did do the assembly work.
As for my writing, I should have a new House chapter up soon. The rough draft is done, just polishing it now. The next chapter should go much faster. I've got some personal things sorted out now, and I expect my weekly word count to go up. 3k words a week is my goal.
I've always had a thing for pocket watches. When I had two functioning legs and wore kilts on a regular basis, a pocket watch was just perfect to keep tucked into a sporran. It's nice to have a little trinket of civility in your pocket, or sporran, as the case might be.
4447411 I've got about 12 silver-cased pocket watches from 1870 to 1890; all in various states of disrepair. I need to get a few ticking.
