It is both with reluctance and relief that I must say that I am leaving Fimfiction and fanfiction in general in order to pursue my own writing ideas. Although it is not the main reason that I will be leaving, over the past few years this site has been slowly losing users per day. I know that it is due to there not being a popularity burst like what had occurred during the second and third season. But when I first came to this site as a little 7th grader wanting to post his ideas, the first thing I wrote "The Last Human" gained a whopping 13 likes and 37 dislikes in about a week while only being 2500 words long and terribly paced and written. My newest writing "Unfriendly Takeover" has gotten 13 likes in almost a year now and only 1/3 of the views and I have spent many more hours working on each chapter for it. But the reason for my slowness is not because of my popularity, even if one person read each chapter I would still continue to write because I at least have a person who enjoys my work. The main reason why I am leaving is because of the creative handcuffs writing fanfiction has given me. I feel like my true potential cannot be reached because of how much I am restricted while writing fanfiction. While "Unfriendly Takeover" was a project to renew the first fanfiction I ever wrote I now feel like the idea has become stale and I have difficulty coming up with what new things I can do. I will soon be moving to wattpad and other sites where I can actually use my creativity and create a world to my liking instead of using one with restrictions. I have been using fanfiction for more than 5 years now and it has been a very enjoyable run. This is a goodbye to all who believed that my stories could prevail. if you want to view my wattpad even though their will probably not have anything there for a view months view it here.

Sorry to hear that you're leaving. I for one was intrigued by Unfriendly Takeover so far.
