How MythBusters: The Search Should Have Ended and Why · 8:11am Feb 28th, 2017

Okay, I became a huge fan of MythBusters roughly around 3-4 years ago. Prior to that, I was more of a casual fan. Anyway, I got SO excited when I found out that the Science Channel was looking for new MythBusters. :pinkiehappy: Well, last Saturday was the grand finale of MythBusters: The Search, and the two new MythBusters were announced. :rainbowkiss: (Spoiler Alert) They were Brian Louden and Jon Lung.
Yeah, watching the finale, I could tell that those two were going to end up beating out the other finalists. :ajbemused: One guy is basically Jamie Hyneman as a burly, Texan teddy bear, and the other is Adam Savage as a short, stocky Asian guy (He even comes with his own sound effects :rainbowlaugh:).
As happy as I am that the search has come to a close, I honestly think that the show could have ended better. :unsuresweetie: I’m not saying that the Science Channel chose the wrong hosts, but I am saying that the other three contestants in the top five would have made a great B-team. The other members of the top five, by the way, were Tamara Robertson, Martin Pepper, and Allan Pan, and each of them have rather uncanny similarities with the members of the old B-team. Tamara and Kari are petite yet powerful, love working on cars (at the very least, Kari loves taking them apart :rainbowlaugh: :twilightsheepish:), and display Team Mom tendencies. Grant and Allan are total geeks (Allan has a YouTube channel called Sufficiently Advanced. Check it out. Great stuff. :twistnerd::twilightsmile:), have VERY expressive freak outs :twilightoops:, and REALLY don’t like being touched by slimy, crawling things. :pinkiesick: The two of them even worked together on a superhero tech project for Mouser Electronics. Tori and Martin, on the other hand, don’t really have as much in common. :twilightsheepish: Martin is calm, cool, and collected where Tori is impish, impetuous, and injury-prone. However, I have noticed that both of them tend to do a lot of the heavy building. I guess that counts. :applejackunsure:
Look, I know the network execs probably had to limit themselves to two hosts because of budget reasons, but I kind of wish they had been able to bring back the B-team. :unsuresweetie: The other members of the top five would have been great on it. “Sigh” Oh, well.
