New Reading: Georg's "The One Who Got Away" · 7:57am Feb 28th, 2017

New reading for Scribbler's "Month of Lurve." I'd been trickling out chapters one day at a time, but now they're all up now. I managed to rope in some big-name talent: Dr. Wolf, Shellah, itsannachloem, ShadowOfCygnus, and Scribbler.

Man, what a project this turned out to be. -_- I think I first started scripting in December 2015. I had all the lines from the cast in around February, then I recorded my own narration, then I had to get the vox all sorted. In the midst of all this I moved to another house, which turned into a big debacle, and then I spent most of my free time for the next month digging a trench to lay cable so we could have internet at the new place. With some leftover move money I got myself a spiffy new, super-premium recording setup, and then made the brilliant decision to record my narration again, which also meant re-doing just about all the vox I had done up to that point. I also thought it would be neat to record the whole fic-producing process from start to finish with a screen recorder, to give people an idea of what all went into the process, but this meant only working on the fic on my fancy desktop computer and not on the train and my lunch break at work, which is where I get the majority of my editing done. In the midst of a number of family crises around July, I sort of forgot about all that, and lost even more time. Then the project got put on hold so I could focus on a "Month Of Macabre" fic that ended up not being released on time anyway, then put on hold again for my Christmas fic, then put on hold again to work on a number of large projects for others.

But! It's done now, and I'd like to think it was worth the trouble. After this, I've got one more fic reading in the hopper, and after that I want to try a few song covers and things, try my hand at music-stuffs, and I also hope to take on another Audible book. So, next release TBD.
