Reflection (and Update News) · 6:49pm Feb 22nd, 2017
Hey, everypony. I have some new information that I'd like to share with you guys. But before we begin, I want to say welcome. I'm actually a few days off from my scheduled blog post, but I tried my very best given the events in my personal life... well, that and working on the next chapter, of course. Anyway, updates on said chapter (as well as the story itself) are the main things I will discuss here in this post. With that said, let us begin.
First and foremost, I want to discuss the progress I am currently making on the next chapter. I am pleased to inform you that it is going along quite nicely. I think you'll be quite intrigued by what will unfold.
Second, I suppose after reading the latest chapter I published, you're wondering, "Why did this guy not give us a whole chapter? Should a chapter especially made for a holiday not be whole?" Well, my friends, I assure you that it is indeed whole. However, like "Great Expectations", the scenes I have planned for Bladewing's date are much too massive to fit into a single chapter. And so, I decided to split this event into two separate chapters (the suspense feels good, don't you think?). I will admit one thing, though. This latest chapter does feel a bit rushed. As you probably know by the "Author's Note" section, there was an equally massive delay with the time of day in which the chapter would be published. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to refine the chapter to perfection in time and so I had to postpone the publication for a few more hours. While I do not regret publishing the chapter, I do feel that I could've done more. With this in mind, I have an idea how to make "Revelations" as a whole all the more worthwhile. "Just how will you carry that out?" you may ask. Well, you'll know it when you read it, fillies and gentlecolts. In BOTH of its parts.
Lastly (but certainly not least), I wish to address the sudden switch in ratings on my story. I noticed that before a few days ago, my likes decreased from 129 to 128; likewise, my dislikes increased from 38 to 39. I am used to getting dislikes - I made that apparent and clear in the "Author's Note" section of the first chapter - but seeing one of my readers turn from liking my story to hating it is a big deal to me. Such things are a sign for me that I may have lost favor in the brony or pegasister that made this change. While I do not hate that person for doing it (or request that they apologize or change their mind), I would still like to know why they have changed their rating from a like to a dislike. As I said multiple times in my blogs, I appreciate it when my readers voice their opinions on my story and offer suggestions on what they'd like to see in the next chapter; the fact that this person switched their rating without at least explaining why is quite depressing to me. On that note, I humbly request that whoever changed their like for my story to a dislike please PM me on why. I want to hear your opinion so that I may learn from it.
That's all I have for you, everypony. For the rest of this month, I will continue to work on the next chapter. I appreciate any feedback that you guys may have for me, so feel free to voice it either on this blog post or on the story itself. With that said, I will return to my work. Thank you for your time and as always, hav fun with your own creative works!

Some people are just finicky, they like it one day and dislike it the next

I suppose you're right. Even so, I truly mean it when I say any feedback I am offered is appreciated. I just wish most my readers weren't so hesitant to do it, whether it be through a like or a comment. Nowadays, I am lucky to get either.
