(I need to re-make this.)

A griffon in full metal armor that covered his entire body besides his head ran through a door closing it behind himself, but he knew it wouldn't last long. The armor had two openings in the back that let his wings out. The griffon was grasping onto his right shoulder as he was bleeding. His armor also had holes all over it with blood seeping through it. It was by sheer willpower that he hadn't passed out. He ignored the sounds of fighting and dying outside as he approached a table with tons of paperwork scattered all out over it. Reaching down he grabbed the paper as much as he could. Then slowly hobbled over to the fireplace and tossed them into it. He turned to do the same thing with the others.

BANG

Seven loud explosions went off down the hallway where he knew his soldiers were fighting that.......demon. The griffon knew he they wouldn't survive today, but he hopes his men could hold off that thing so he could destroy these documents.

BANG
BANG

He knew that two of his men were just killed if the angry shouts were any indication. He had to destroy these documents before that thing came here to claim them. "Kill it!" A few voices shouted from outside the door causing the griffon to pause for a second.

BANG
BANG

The griffon swallowed the lump in his throat and tossed more documents into the fire. He could hear the sound of his men standing at the door. He guessed there were only six of them now standing between it and him.

BANG
BANG
BANG

Only three remained now. He heard two of them yell war cries as they rushed the demon that was slaughtering them. He could hear them fighting, but he already knew they were dead already and just didn;t know it.

BANG
BANG

There was only one more soldier standing outside the door. He had to destroy the last document otherwise their sacrifice would be in vain. "For the Griffon King!" Was the lost defiance of the soldier outside.

BANG

The last griffon knew he was the last one left as the hallway fell silent. He quickly grabbed the last document and hobbled as fast as he could towards the fire just as the door flew open and a shadow materialized by the door. Just as the griffon took a step he suddenly felt a boot connect with his armored chest causing him to let out a grunt of pain as he slammed onto the ground as the last document rolled away from towards the figure.

The griffon stared up at the figure that was practically death itself. It wore a dark robe with a hood that went over its face that was hidden by a white mask. It wore a boot that went up to its kneecaps. It also seemed to have some strange stuff wrapped around its body.

The griffon only watched in despair as it bent down picking up the document, but his despair turned to confusion as he watched the figure threw it into the fire. "Why?"

The dark figure didn't answer but instead walked towards the down griffon. "WHY!? Why all this death and destruction only to destroy what you came here for!"

The dark figure stood over the griffon then slowly raised its shotgun to his head. He answered with a voice that sounded almost like a whisper that terrified any who heard it including the griffon for it was cold and dark. "I was paid to kill you."

Bang

The dark figure watched as the griffon head exploded in a gory mess sending blood all behind him with some skull fragments and brain matter. Satisfied he turned as he put away his weapons were they vanished into thin air. The figure walked through the hallway that was littered with dead bodies of griffons. Each one had a bullet hole through their body while others were blown completely in half or their heads. Blood coated the entire hallway as the shadowy figure walked through it not minding it even as he stepped on an eyeball-squishing it beneath his boot. The figure reached the end of the hallway and simple vaporized into shadows disappearing leaving only the dead to tell the tale if they could.

An old stallion let out a puff of smoke as he sat on his chair looking down at the rest of the village. The village itself was strange indeed but was beautiful. The town itself was unique but had a surreal feeling with all the trees surrounding the houses.

The houses were built onto the tree themselves with only ladders being the access to them unless a unicorn teleported or a pegasus flew up there. There was also a bridge that connected from tree to tree where the occupants could walk to their neighbor's house.

The old pony looking to be a hundred sat in a chair looking to be a hundred judging by all the wrinkles seen through his green fur and white mane.

The stallion wore a dark brown coat with blue jeans. He didn't wear any socks or shoes but instead, let his feet out in the fresh air. The stallion name was Old Leaf because of his cutie mark that resembled a leaf on the back of his neck. He was the elder of this village that was known as Ebony Tree. The reason for this name was the village's main source of trading. In these trees was a valuable tree branch known as ebony, a dense black wood that allowed the residents to craft them into anything. It was the main cause that there was also trouble.

Old leaf let out another puff of smoke as he closed his eyes in remembrance of that horrible day they came. Griffons. A fifty of them. They came to the village demanding taxes for the glorious Griffon King. Old Leaf knew they were lying considering the fact they were thousands of miles away. So he told him no. That was when the Griffons began 'teaching them a lesson.' They killed two ponies that day then told them that more would die if they didn't pay. Ever since then, they had come back every month to take 'taxes' when in reality they were hoarding it for themselves. The final straw came when....Old leaf let a tear slip out of his eye that fell to the floor with a splat. His granddaughter and her family stood up to them. He was forced to watch as they beheaded them while they had their fun with the mares. Since that day he longed for their death but knew he couldn't do it himself as he no longer could fight and the towns ponies were too scared.

That was when 'he' showed up if he could even be called that. A strange pony or he thought he was showing up in a black robe wearing a skull mask. He spoke causing shivers to go down the old pony back and spine. He simply said. "Pay me four hundred bits and the Griffons are good as dead."

Old leaf wanted to laugh at him but the way he held himself and spoke sounded like he could. So Old Leaf agreed. Now he sat in his chair in the middle of the night with the moon shining brightly through the trees with a bag of bit underneath him. "It is done." A cold voice spoke from behind Old Leaf causing him to nearly jump out of his chair. After slowing his heart down, he glanced behind him to see the figure......covered in blood surprising the old pony. What surprised the pony, even more, was when he was tossed a head at his feet. It was the head of the griffon that was the leader.

"You killed them all."

The figure didn't speak but only stared at Old Leaf causing him to become nervous as he stared up at the skull mask. Old Leaf swallowed the lump in his throat as he grabbed the bag underneath him and held it out for the figure who grabbed and turned to walk off. "WAIT!"

The figure stopped but did not turn around.

"Who are you?"

The figure was silent then spoke. "I am.....the Reaper." His body suddenly turned into shadows allowing him to fade away into the night while leaving the old pony there who had his mouth opened in shock at the supposed legend that shouldn't exist.

and here the town look like.
