Crossovers not Usually Seen · 12:56am Feb 20th, 2017

I was just rewatching The Great Mouse Detective and got a thought, what would crossover with it MLP be like, Fluttershy would obviously one of the focal characters due to her ability to understand and speak with animals. I would like to see a story like that, I haven't seen a story of that nature. But that got me thinking, why are some crossovers not done? Being lesser known is a rather obvious, and rather poor, excuse. I like to think the more obscure stuff through a partial lens of something that's well liked today could help generate interest in those things.

Thoughts?

See, when I read the title, I immediately thought that there's a lack of crossovers with the Night Angel Trilogy.

4429144 I don't really know what that is, but I guess that proves the point I'm trying make

While obscurity is one thing, not all crossovers can work and be faithful to both. Example Transformers: Prime and MLP: Friendship is Magic, keeping this simple, giant transforming robotic autonomic aliens engaged in a war over the identity of their species and their long-term survival just don't mix with magical pascal coloured talking horses engrosses in fostering friendship, without one being undermined the other. Now, something like a "Great Mouse Detective"-MLP might work.
