Hello, everybody!
I just wanted to give you a heads up. Up to this point I've been kind of regular with my updates on The Lunar Guardsman, having at least one chapter up every couple of weeks (...or...more...). Yeah, I know, it's not something to be patting myself on the back for but I do work and... well, not much else. I should be writing more actually.
THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE LUNAR GUARDSMAN IS GOING TO BE DELAYED.
I have had some kind of throat infection (nothing major but very bleedy coughy and a general pain) for two weeks and though it has eased up now(on the third week) it's still there. I'm not going to blame it for what happened, though it did cost me a few writing days. I had written quite a chunk of the next chapter, over 8k words, and had a re-read after a few days of absence.
If digital files could burn without needing to replace equipment I can't afford, I would do that.
It was boring. Oh. My. God. So boring, you have no idea. The main character was lifeless. Solid Charge was a cardboard. Luna became a teenager with a tramp tattoo that listens to Linkin' Park and cuts herself. Raegdan did it like the Wonder Twins and took the shape of a dumb rock. Cast Iron was drooling with pure idiocy.
I actually thought that the new oc's would be the hard part. Heck, the problem with them? Their sections were too short, and that was bad cause they were the only good thing in there. I FAILED MY OWN CHARACTERS INSTEAD!!!
So I chucked that thing to the moon and starting over. From scratch. I'm not even going to copy paste a single sentence. That was hideous. I often have to rewrite a scene, often scrapping about 2-3k words worth in a single chapter, but this time there was nothing salvageable that wouldn't taint anything else with it's horribleness. I started over, wrote about 1k and it flows way, WAY better. Of course that means that I will have to change quite a lot of things since I'm staying the buck away from the previous path. One other problem that I may have to face is that I will have to go the long route, meaning I should probably write two chapters worth of material before I feel it's ready for editing or posting to ensure it will be good enough.
I am very, very sorry for the delay. It will probably be a few weeks before the next chapter is ready, but I will throw myself even harder into the job to make sure I go as fast as possible. *sigh*

Being sick is never fun, best wishes to a speedy recovery.
Quality over quantity, you shouldn't have to set yourself to a schedule, if you're happy with the quality awesome, if not I'm more than happy to wait till you have something you are satisfied with (and would hope most other enthusiasts of your work would agree).
Good luck getting back to it and please don't stress out over timeframes
Don't sweat it; the content that's already there is more than enough to keep me excited. Quality admittedly is one of the biggest reasons why I never set a schedule for when new chapters for my stories to be finished, so I know what that's like. And best wishes for a smooth recovery.

Ugh. I feel your pain, The worst part is waking up though. So painful. Gah. I hate thinking about it. On the brightside however, I'm very glad to see you don't want to bore us with work that suffers with you from your sickness. It makes the story a lot more... special(?) to read. I guess its kinda the same feeling you'd get from knowing something was hand-crafted to ensure quality? I'm so tired. But honestly, Get well soon, and don't write senseless rambling.

4427523 I was considering that he now has and only uses the better one, perhaps worked on a little by Cast Iron to fix up some issues, but mainly keep it unchanged. 4427925 It has been mostly like competing in a two-week long championship of Extreme Coughing. My lungs and ribs hurt like hell at times, and my throat felt like I had been trapped in one of Bendy's stories
. At the moment it only gets bad when I wake up, go to bed, eat more than a couple of bites or drink more than a few sips.
