tl;dr: I didn't get approved, but got some great feedback.
Longer version:
There were a few things that the reviewer brought up, but the main one was that the conflicts in the story thus far were not really that interesting - for the most part, they started and ended pretty quickly and pretty predictably. Looking back at the story now, and at some of the examples the reviewer called out, it seems kind of painfully obvious. Unfortunately, given how far along the story is, and just plain how long it's become by now, actually fixing this is probably never going to happen. At the very least, it's not going to happen until I first finish writing the story, because while I would really like to be featured there, going back and reviewing previously written chapters is probably the most draining thing I've ever done with this story. While I would say it was definitely necessary for some of the earlier chapters, it's still not something I want to do again any time soon.
That said, there's no reason not to try and apply that feedback to the chapters going forward, which is why I wrote Chapter 22 as I did and why it took a little longer than I had planned to upload it - I rewrote around the last third of the chapter after hearing back from the EQD reviewer. However, this also throws off the previous chapter schedule I had posted somewhat, since the next two chapters are pretty much entirely about the current Lunar+Midnight arc.
The feedback was definitely very good though, and even though I'm not going to get featured, I'm glad I submitted to EQD for that all on its own.
