    an update

Hi all. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been taking an extended break from FimFiction lately. Had some undesirable interactions with some users. That coupled with some of my creative frustrations just makes logging on... kind of unpleasant? If I do log on, it's usually to try and catch up with the fics I'm reading and then I quickly log off. I'm just feeling drained with the MLP fanfic

It was my birthday yesterday! I'd meant to post the day of, but honestly, I was so tired and busy I just didn't have much time or energy to sit at my computer. Wanna hear a funny story or two, plus see the new playlist I made for Sassaflash? Get it after the jump!

    ponies fix everything

New chapter for What They Hope to Find is out! I talk about what's next after the jump, but before that, a quick anecdote:

Last night, my family was having trouble finding something to watch together. My nine-year-old son didn't have any ideas, but he pretty much shot down every suggestion we had. Eventually, out of frustration and half-serious, I say, "Let's just watch ponies."

    Jinglemas! And Rarijack!

I'm participating in this year's Jinglemas! It's a cute fic exchange that happens every year. I requested a rare pair ship, three guesses which. :twilightsheepish: Today is the last day to join, so if you want in on it, be sure to read over the rules and PM Shakespearicles!

hello my friends and followers

i am boycotting (most) capitals. lazy.

much has occurred since my last post. nervous breakdowns, family returning from far off lands, brand new obsessions, bad colds, and even a car accident, just to name a few of the more harrowing things. less harrowing things include a giant new tv, an upcoming Small Caliber birthday, and... family returning from far off lands. a double edged sword, my family is. one side is sharper than the other, admittedly, but there's two sides nevertheless.

i updated chapter 8 of HCHL with Troublesome Beast's contributions. no movement on chapter 9.

my other stories are in a coma. even Letters is at a standstill.

been thinking of doing another overpriced writer's advice post about making story feedback, even the caustic kind, work for you. kiddo remains jealous of any time i spend not lavishing him with attention, so he's blocked any attempts at getting that started.

Legion, the new show on FX, is rather good. please go watch it and geek out with me.

walking dead mid-season premiere was awesome. dat clothesline attack tho...

Elder Scrolls Online is amazing crack and i can't stop playing it. they come out with player housing for ps4 on the 28th, and in july is the release of their biggest dlc yet: Morrowind. squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i still play overwatch, but i'm a little burnt out on it. i wasn't particularly motivated by the chinese new year event. my only regret is not getting zenyatta's skin. still annoyed by widow's lack of versatility.

i am waiting impatiently for Doctor Strange to be released for rental. they came out with digital purchase on the 14th with no rental options. my poorness is such that i can't afford to buy it (though I know it will be good)

when is a new season of mlp coming, did they announce that yet? Small Caliber has been watching a lot again as of late (repeating the same episodes, mind you... dragonshy, twilight's kingdom, and feeling pinkie keen... over and over and--) i re-watched the season 6 finale. it was soooo good. i can't wait to see more of starlight glimmer. ever since working on Letters she's earned a special place in my heart. her social anxiety is very relatable to me.

relatable is a word. why is my browser underlining it in red? i hate when it does that...

gaiz, i miss you. believe me. i'm just such a hot mess.

Auto incorrect is a foul beast that must be neutralized. It's the worst on phones (where I write the majority of my stories.)

Ditto on the double-edged sword thing. Although, come to think of it, I wouldn't have it any other way. That's what makes my family so interesting and loveable.

Also, good to see that you're at least making an effort to work on stories (er, story) despite all the other things you're going through. And we certainly all miss you, as well. Good to hear from you!

Hope things that aren't going so good get better for you. We all go through our own little slice of hell at some point in our lives. Sometimes more than once. But luckily you have all of us and your family to guide you through it.

Dr. Strange was mega-amazing super-awesome. Just wait until you come to the Bargain. :)
