Today is Rebecca Shoichet's birthday. She is the woman who is the voice of Sunset Shimmer in the Equestria Girls films, and has also been the singing voice of both pony and human Twilight, both in the show, and in Equestria Girls. In addition, she voiced Sugar Belle and Night Glider in the Season 5 premiere, and voiced Night Glider again in the Season 6 finale.
I already mentioned last year how she was also the voice of She-Hulk, and she has a couple of other roles as well. But I think it's safe to say that even amongst Vancouver voice acting fans, Rebecca has been plucked from obscurity due to her work as Sunset Shimmer's voice.
Happy birthday, Rebecca. I look forward to seeing what you'll do with Sunset Shimmer in the upcoming Equestria Girls films. And if possible, I hope they'll bring up that deleted plot point from "Friendship Games" about Sunset being homesick, they missed a chance to put into "Legend of Everfree" which would've really benefited the film.
