Crime Pays · 7:52pm Feb 12th, 2017
Crime Pays has officially concluded. There's not much I can say about it, other than I'm going to sorely miss it. I'm feeling legit emotional right now. But, besides that...
Thank you to everyone who read Crime Pays. I don't think I can properly express just how much your views and comments mean to me. I'm not exaggerating when I say that you people are what got me through 2016. I'm eternally grateful your support for my weird crime drama.
I suppose I should also thank Hazardous Writing Material group's Elevator Pitch contest, of which this story was an entrant. Honestly, I've had this idea for this story for around a year and change before this publication, even having the first two-ish chapters finished. But, it was going nowhere, and I was *this* close to canning the project. Luckily, the Elevator contest inspired me to restart it and now we have the Crime Pays we all know. I may not have won that contest, but I like to think my prize is far greater than 30£ in Steam credits.
Again, thank you all. I couldn't have done it without you.
I didn't even notice that complete until just now. Holy shit, I'm almost scared to hit that button and start reading. Either way man this has been a wild ride and certainly one of the best stories on this site I've ever read. I thank you greatly for the experience.
Three updates in a day? You spoil us.
This is usually the part where i ask for a sequal, but... you know. That. Loved the story, it's one of only 2 anthro stories that I liked. Amazballs!
4419671 A sequel isn't impossible. There's still one or two loose ends I could tie. But, my main plan for a second story would be about either Mythos before the fall or Rarity when she met Spike.
Thanks for reading!
I know how you feel. I'm glad you finished this story through to the end as it's fantastic.
If I may make a suggestion. You said that a prequel could happen, so if you have any unused ideas, maybe weaving them into a new story would be something to look into. Then if your still feeling up to it, you could make a sequel to Crime Pays, and end this as a trilogy.
Medusa's reign might be over, but I'm sure there are some other lose ends somewhere out there with some other crew or some other mastermind ready to take claim as the best of the best now that there is one less criminal to worry about.
Is there any other books that you've written or seen just like Crime Pays?? Luv that book btw
I've been watching for months, as the story got featured time and time again.
I have a thing about reading stories before they're marked complete.
Been burned too many times with amazing stories never getting finished.
I finally noticed the story had the complete tag, and began reading at around 2:23pm today. I finished the final chapter a few minutes ago (11:49pm) (I did do other stuff every now and then) and all I have to say is wow.
