Question.... · 4:34pm Feb 9th, 2017
I finished my SunLight chapter of my Valentine's Day story and will be doing the AppleDash one when I get back from errands and my annual physical...Man, I hate those things, they always make me feel awkward...and was wondering, do you guys want to see them tonight or wait till after I finish with all six planned chapters?
Whatever works best for you. :D (Good luck with your physical.)
Hmm...I'm leaning towards waiting until all 6 are done. Have a big Valentine's bomb or something. But it's up to you.
i am also leaning towards waiting for all 6 chapters
Just an observation and not a complaint, really, but your chapters tend toward being short (2000 words or less), so waiting for all 6 would be more fun and more to read, in my opinion.
The sooner the better!!!

An unfortunate side effect of NaNoWriMo, I'm afraid. But it does allow for some work each night, no matter how late my shift goes.
And on occasion, when the inspiration hits, I can pump out two or three chapters.

All true and like I said, not really a complaint. I used to write the same way. Some of my earliest Buffy stories had chapter lengths that varied from 500 or so words to a couple thousand, because, like you said, an idea struck and I wanted to get it in the computer as fast as possible and scenes are as long as they need to be. Sometimes it's really short and sometimes you start wondering if it's ever gonna find an end point, am I right?
The flip side of it, though, is one writer who's stories I'm following/reading on Fanfiction.net (kathryn518, if anyone's interested) just recently updated 5 stories. The smallest chapter of the 5 was somewhere between 17 and 18 thousand words and the largest was nearly 30,000. By itself.
By industry standards, a novella (small novel) is 10,000(-ish) words and a full novel is 40,000+. By that, you've already written more than enough for a novel in this story line, if you add all the words counts together. I'm just arrogant enough to attempt to speak for all your fans/followers when I say - Please don't stop now!

Thanks so much. I have no plans to stop anytime soon, with the exception of my vacation.
