A few things to note about 'Where No Pony Has Gone Before'. I'm terrible at replying, so this will hopefully clear up some stuff.
1. Wow. I'm amazed at the response. Legit amazed and stunned. Thank you everyone.
2. Please note... I'm not... exactly taking it too seriously. I'm making sure I get stuff right for the most part, but this is trending towards 'affectionate parody' a little bit for me. Emphasis on affectionate, mind.
3. So Blueblood is supposed to be a diplomat. That's a comic thing, IIRC. To be honest, I don't read the comics. I don't really consider or think about them at all when writing fic. Although generally speaking, with few exceptions, that extends to the comic medium period.

And of course... CUE THE LONELY MAN THEME!
So, yeah. Might not wanna look to the comics for anything when it comes to this fic, folks.

And if you're doing this betting thing as a way to get everyone hyped for Kirk to kick Bluey's butt and then you make Bluey win with anything less than a full knock-down, drag-out white-knuckle fight that goes down to the wire with desperation, you realize we're all going to come for you in the night, right?

I always feel funny when I see the Shat as Kirk, simply because my introduction to him was in that, er, 'classic' film The Devil's Rain. If you've seen it you know what I mean. And if not, count your blessings.
