We are the weakest generation and laziest because we are given things.

We don't fight for them, we don't earn them, we take.

And that is why we are not really truly happy.

Our whole entire history is filled with pain, agony, sorrow, and despair, but in the end it was worth it for something greater.

And now we seem to forget a lot like life isn't fair even if we do know that.

We need to be strong, we need to get through what we're feeling and make life up more than down.

And we have to keep doing that because the moment that we give up is the moment we fail.

Success isn't about ever failing, but always trying, especially for doing your best too.

I blame the practice of using participantion trophies... myself I was lucky to be sent to a Catholic school for grades 4 to 8 and attended a quasi-private high school. (Thank God for school of choice which CT practiced atleast until 2007), in more recent years I have spent over nine months unemployed. In college, I was forced to back up my positions with the facts regardless if the professor agreed with me or not. I had parents who set standards and enforced them growing up. And while I may have been given things, I have earned things and dealt with losing them. And while my story is not unique, it is saddly one of fewer and fewer repeats.

But over all, I am happy. I am happy because I have put in the effort and when and where it counts, growing up, I was forced to adapt or die and to quote Meatloaf "I'm still alive!"
