So, there are apparently people in the world who are appaled by killing virtual animals for virtual furs, and you still wonder why 2016 looked the way it looked...

Wow this really does show that PETA is run by a bunch of idiots. This really makes me wonder how they actually got so poplar in the first place I mean I know they used to be good but now they are just complete idiots.

Who knows, maybe they started recruiting on tumblr. Also, I don't trust an organisation that opposes animal testing but at the same time kills most of the animals that end up in their shelters (apparently they euthanise only the sick ones, but that's like, 60-90%, depending on the source).
As a Raichu furry, I am now afraid of slapping myself, because the sheer magnitude of facepalm this requires might make me short-circuit.
In response to one of your tags: I don't think I've ever had vegan, but I don't mind vegetarian. If I'm abroad and I see a Subway, I'll order a veggie bun, simply because 'Well, I don't know the food here, but they'll probably not want to upset a vegetarian, so this'll be fine.' I eat plenty of meals without meat, but not out of moral considerations. Sometimes you just don't feel like eating meat. There is no deeper meaning behind that.
I also don't hear this conversation enough:
"You shouldn't eat that meaty burger, bro. Rainforest gets cut down for that burger."

"Yeah, man. They cut down those precious trees to put soy on it to feed to cattle."

nor do I, I liked them when they first started out during the late 80's but now they seem to be run by a bunch of fools and complete idiots. from what I understand PETA is just out for its own self centered views and dogmatic crap. I really do think they lost sight of what they were and are trying to do.

Yeah, all those soy people hardly ever think about rainforest. Or that most of soy in the world is GMO (I actually don't mind GMO, but they often do). I just eat whatever I feel like eating, without any ideology added.
