Updates, A New Doctor, and Reviews · 12:13am Jan 31st, 2017
Just wanted to make a quick update here since it's been a few months since my last blog post. Sorry for going silent since finishing "Season 1" of Doctor Whooves. And I also apologize for falling short on my reviews towards the end of Season 6. I might get around to writing full length reviews at some point. But here's a quick version for now pertaining to the stuff I've yet to review.
PPOV (Pony Point of View): An okay episode. Some fun moments but far from one of my Season 6 favorites.
Where the Apple Lies: A fun flashback episode with some great Applejack/Big Mac moments.
Top Bolt: My favorite Map episode of Season 6, likable guest characters and some fun Twilight/Rainbow Dash moments.
To Where and Back Again: Loved it. Very refreshing for a finale with a great combination of characters. Mixed feelings on the new Changeling design but I hope we see more of Thorax after this. And some more of Starlight and Trixie. And more Trixie and Discord. And more Discord. Can Starlight, Trixie, Discord, and Thorax just have their own spin-off? Throw in Gilda, Gabby, and Ember and you've got something awesome!
EQG Legend of Everfree: Really liked it. A nice continuation of the story that has me really looking forward to the EQG episodes we'll be getting this year.
The Return of Doctor Mysterio: A really fun Christmas Special. Nardole has really grown on me and I look forward to seeing more of him in Series 10.
Speaking of Doctor Who, it was just announced that Peter Capaldi will be leaving the show in this year's Christmas Special.

And thus the three-season curse continues. It'll be sad to see him go but I think he's had a good run. Makes sense to see him leave with Moffat. Davies got 9 and 10 and Moffat got 11 and 12. I wonder how many Chibnall will get. And I also wonder if Pearl "Bill Potts" Mackie will be sticking around for the 13th Doctor and the Chibnall Era. We'll just have to wait and see. On the plus side, we now have a new Doctor reveal to anticipate.
