I know that I'm slightly delayed in this reaction, but I don't care;)
Ahhhhh!XD
First, it was the comics shipping Fluttercord and now the books!:D XD I mean, we started with subtle hints in background in "Discord and the Ponyville Players Dramarama"
(Oh man, I really should have reviewed that:/ Oh well, all the more reason for you guys to go and read it;D Seriously read it!)
But not only will we be getting a book with Discord and Fluttershy together, but based on the book's description:
Everypony has a different kind of family! Princess Cadance and Shining Armor have new baby Flurry Heart, and Princess Celestia has her sister Luna. Rarity is close with her sister, and Apple Jack's family is HUGE!
And Discord, of course, has Fluttershy as his family.
Wait, WHAT?
Looks like the story will be mainly focusing on Discord and Fluttershy as main characters and drives of this story:D With the addition of their friendship being strong enough to be considered family:D That's huge my friends, huge!:D
I mean, we Fluttercord shippers always knew that their friendship was strong enough to be considered family and beyond, but to have the writers acknowledge it is incredible:) Too bad that they're not doing this in the canon show, but I digress, maybe they will who knows?;)
But this book makes me wonder if this story is brave enough to tackle the mystery of Discord's past and if he ever had a family. Most likely no because it should be the show that's tackling that problem, however, if in the comics they were able to tackle Tirek's backstory...I don't see why they can't do the same here for Discord;)
