1 year ago to the day, I started off a massive quest. I wanted to write this huge idea for a story. So it's officially my one year anniversary for my novel.
So I'm sitting here, looking over my last bit of story line and realizing I have about 50k words left before I finish my first novel (It's at 117k right now). It's my largest story by far and I'm rather proud of myself since it hasn't been until this last year that I sat down and finished something I started writing. This is so weird
I wrote this scene back before I was even on chapter 6(there's currently 35 chapters).
That was suppose to be near the end of the book.
I'm almost to the point where I can add it to the main story.
I remember when this entire story was this big idea in my head and I had barely started to write it down. I had tons of prewritten scenes because the mood struck me, now most of them have been added to the story where they belonged and it's just so surreal. I mean I've come so far, made a lot of mistakes, challenged myself and changed how I did things, acquired a small fanbase, there's just so much that has happened.
It started off as a "self-insert story" that was never suppose to see the light of day. It's evolved into this massive novel that is very near and dear to my heart. While I have plans for books 2-5, as well as two prequels, I'm gonna take a looooong break after book 1. So I wanted to say thanks to Author's Tale and Fimfiction.net for being a large amount of support. Wanted to say thanks to my friend Livvy who got me into writing to begin with, my friend BoardGameBrony who has given me truckloads of very detailed and encouraging reviews. But most of all I wanna thank my best friend Mandi (Tenacious Lotus) who has been my #1 fan and has encouraged me no matter how hard things got.

HECK YEAH! *hugs* You're an awesome writer, Choc. You deserve every awesome comment and every bit of recognition for your work. Your story inspired me in a way I've never been inspired by a fantasy story. Your action scenes are intense and your characters are so developed and wonderful (even the antagonists).
Sorry I haven't been online a lot, but life has been kicking me in some very creative ways. I know I can always come back here and enjoy such wonderful stories like yours! :D
