IN WHICH I BINGE TOONS
Last Thursday, I decided to take a break from social media, because all it has brought me since this past November has been depression… and not just because of Trump (though it's really tough to read the constant stream of doom & gloom from my friends and acquaintances). Literally the only place I've posted anything is here. And that's fine.
Over the weekend, whenever I wasn't cooking food, playing with my needy cat, or walking outside, I was watching cartoons. I finished rewatching Cowboy Bebop – Episode 24 has always affected me more than the finale, FYI – and decided to start watching Legend Of Korra. Enjoyed the hell out of it. I finished the first season on Saturday and decided to go back and rewatch the first season of Last Airbender (which I bought on DVD years ago and hadn't watched since 2013), and I'm almost done with that too. And just to get in the hat-trick, I queued up a couple of episodes of GanXingBa's Avatar Abridged, because it's stupid-funny. Damn shame he stopped one episode before the end.
Yes that does mean I've been watching cartoons when I should have been writing. For that I apologize. If I don't have distractions, my mind starts to wander to dark places (like now), and I start feeling worse. Stuff is being worked on, just not quickly. But then my (two) loyal readers have likely gotten used to my slow pace by now.
Okay, I'm off to cartoons. Then maybe writing. Peace out.
