When you think about it, at any given moment, of any given day, a meteor could crash into the earth, we could blow ourselves up with nuclear weapons, we could have our entire civilization destroyed by super volcanoes, or earthquakes, or water covering the earth, or any number of natural or man-made disasters that could eradicate our species.
Thinking about life after the earth as we know it today ceases exist is kind of interesting. Will another species evolve? Will the planet just blow up, leaving nothing behind? There are so many possibilities.
But then you think of the fact that everything anyone has ever done on this planet up until that point would have never amounted to anything. Even if the planet somehow survived, archaeologists from other planets, dimensions, or even species that evolved on the planet itself probably wouldn't complete understand human culture as it used to be. Anything we once thought was so important would be gone in an instant.
I guess when you think of all of this you have to just be grateful for the time you have to be alive. You only have one life to live and one impression to make in the grand scheme of the universe before your light fades out into obscurity. So we all should strive to treasure those moments when we still exist and our memories in some way or another (either fame or through stories passed down by families or cultures throughout the ages) can live on.

I honestly believe we'll destroy ourselves before some civilization-ending natural disaster happens, but then again Mother Nature isn't that easy to predict.
... Now I am gonna end up contemplating about this when I should go to bed... my fault... Probably gonna have a headache wish me luck for IDK what or why!
That's a very interesting subject mate; however, I know that won't happen because of what the scriptures tell us.
My existence, well. I've accepted that I'll fade into obscurity, no one will remember my name for as long as my stuff remains on the internet after I'm long dead. The name Dustchu will fade into time, until it becomes nothing more then a mere speck of dust in the wind. I'd like to think I'll live on in my stories, but let's be honest, once I'm dead I'll be forgotten
And if the world did suffer something incredibly bad, I think some of humanity will survive. There will always be some prepper in a bunker somewhere, some lucky fuck in a deep enough basement or a high enough cabin in the mountains. We're survived all the crap life has thrown at us so far... we ain't gonna be erased so easily.
