Why We Die Update · 5:47pm Jan 19th, 2017

Greetings Gotham, Joker here! Well, I must say, the support I've recieved for my new Yveltal project, henceforth called Why We Die has been TREMENDOUS! I really can't thank everyone enough. In fact, one user, StrangeBehavior, provided a means to make the story NOT DISPLACED. Yeah, you read that right, Why We Die and the resulting stories, set in what I've dubbed "The Pokemon Within Multiverse" are not going to be Displaced stories. However, the Pokemon will still be humanized. Anyways, here's the new long description I've cooked up:

Jack Nightshade was an ordinary guy who lived an ordinary life. He had a good paying job, a nice place, the works. But, one fateful day, Jack stumbled upon a gangland execution. Fearing being identified, the gangster opened fire on Jack, who was shot multiple times, which caused his life to fade away. However, he didn't realize that for some strange reason, while he was dying, everything within a 500 mile radius was dying also. His body began to glow in an ominous, red color. As he breathed his last breath an intense explosion flattened the city, everything surrounding him within 500 miles died with Jack.

In a empty, black void, Jack floated in a lifeless state, until a large, glowing figure appeared before him. The figure said that its name was Arceus and tells Jack that the life he knew wasn't his real identity, and that he was truthfully, Yveltal, death incarnate, a god, and a destroyer. On top of that, Arceus tells Jack that he influenced the creation of every aspect of the Pokemon franchise, from the games to the anime, that his twin brother, James, is in fact Xerneas, and that there were others like him. Arecus then proceeds to inform Yveltal that he is to be sent to the world of Gaia, a world that was in enthralled in a war between its two most mighty kingdoms: the noble and peaceful land of Equestria, and the Crystal Empire, which was under the tyrannical rule of King Sombra, but would soon have much bigger problems than that. Problems that hailed from another dimension.

10,000 years later, Yveltal awakens from his slumber and joins Equestria's fight against the Crystal Empire... and begins to devlope the hots for a certain rainbow-haired commander...

Set in a bizarro version of the Crystal Wars Timeline. Contains Yveltal X Rainbow Dash and Sparity. Other pairings to be determined. Ponies, Changelings, etc have been semi-humanized.

Thank you to everyone who gave me their ideas and support for this project.

Also, here's the main theme I've chosen for the story. I personally think it fits Yveltal pretty darn well:

So, what do you guys think? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

To be honest, I'm kind of disappointed you needed somebody else to tell you it doesn't have to be Displaced.
Provided the means? HA! Let me guess, he told you "hey, you could do it not DIsplaced and make it its own verse". [If it is posted in a thread, could I have a link so I actually know what he wrote?]
Because, honestly? It's not that big of a deal, or idea. The only reason you should make it Displaced in the first place is if you need it to have a crossover for some reason or another.
Basically, if it didn't need to be Displaced in the first place, why did you make it Displaced?

I think you completely ignored my advice in the thread asking for it. Y'know, the stuff about shortening the description and leaving more to the imagination for your readers?

No, no, it seems you read it and went the EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION. Cause from what I can tell, that description is now LONGER.

Have fun Joker. I was gonna give you a chance, but now?

Ain't no Rawst Berries coming your way when you crash and Burn.
