Crazy couple months, right?
I'd say I've been quiet lately, but it's more like I've been directing my incredibly loud voice elsewhere. If you follow me on Twitter, you've no doubt seen that I've been very vocal with my representative since the election. It's been hard to get a straight answer from him, but I got to speak to him once, and I'm sure as hell going to continue as long as I see ways we can improve. But enough politics! Let's get on to ponies!
WordGuru is once again a godsend. Chapter 42 of "Sensation" is coming this Saturday, and I can't wait to share it with you. I recommend checking out 41 again for maximum impact. I realize it's been a long time, and I hope you'll forgive me for indulging myself in the SFW version.
...which ended up contributing to the hiatus more than I intended. I'm super happy I got so much of it updated, and it was great seeing it on EQD, but hooooooly cow does it hurt to watch a story you've invested so much time in get downvoted into oblivion.

It ended up hurting a lot more than I thought it would, even though I'd braced myself for the inevitable anti-M/M reaction. As a creator, I think it's always important to be open to improving yourself and getting feedback, but suddenly seeing something you're really proud of get a lot of flack is... tough, especially since it pretty much killed any chance of seeing it on the front page or featured in a lot of places or anything. Tough to watch dreams die, I guess, and it kind of disengaged me for a while.
But we get back up and get back to it. Like I said, I've got chapter 42 nearly ready to post, and I'm well on the way to 43 and 44 (can somepony say "double update"?). I can't wait to share these with you guys, and I hope you enjoy them.
And in the meantime, I'm also prepping for Whinny City. I'm head of Mane Events this year (thanks, Dave), and I'm also helping in a few other, secret ways behind the scenes. If you're in the Chicago area, I hope you'll consider going and/or volunteering. We'd love to have you, and I'd love to meet as many of you in person as possible.
Time to get back to editing, but until I talk to you next, be kind to yourselves, and I wish you plenty of feedback and the wisdom to know which critique to take to heart.
