I just thought of one of the most interesting story ideas ever, and this time it isn't displaced for once. Well actually I got two ideas, but I'll keep one of them secret for now. Anyways, what if some random pony had a sentient shadow that manipulate other shadows. I got this idea through a game called shadow puppeteer, at first I thought it was interesting, then I thought of the implications of it and my mind went boom. Everyone has a shadow that is connected to themselves, but this sentient shadow can disconnect from it's owner, but if it goes to far away the shadow dies. Think of it as this, the person the shadow is a part of is limited by movement, but can get to places others usually wouldn't be able to go.
This has been my idea and mini rant on it, and if anyone has a way to expand upon it be my guest and use it. I don't think this has been used in the way I'm thinking of, so this might actually be an original idea, but I shouldn't get my hopes up. Till next time
