Another Milestone

So with the latest chapter of Painted Mirror(You all know how I feel about the name at this point), I have reached 500 likes on Fimfiction. After more than three years of semi-regular updates, writing Applejack poorly, learning that present tense it hard, burning through two editors, and getting a slapdash education in signal dynamics and military tactics, I have broken the 500 thumb ceiling.

This is rather significant. This puts me in the top 400 or so HiE stories and the top 1400 Adventure stories. I know there's a big jump between those, Adventure is probably one of the best reviewed genres on the site with more than 30,000 entries.. But more importantly, it means that half a grand of people enjoyed my story/were generous. That absolutely floors me. I don't know 500 people. If you forced me to rattle off 500 people I'm not sure I could.

Now I don't know if all authors track their story stats like I do. I do it because I'm an anxious wreck of a human being that requires the approval of others to function, so every time I get another thumb I get a tiny little boost to keep going. And I do intend to keep going, I know exactly where Painted Mirror is heading and I'm hoping to be able to finish it this year. I'm going to button up this storyline in the next update or two and with it Book Two. I'm hoping everyone likes what I have in mind coming up.

Like my last long blog post, I am again looking for a proofreader, mostly so that Iron Sky doesn't have to point out glaring errors in the comment section. If you think you can do it or just want to read the unedited version of a chapter a few days ahead of time, shoot me a line.
