My Writing Process (I'm not dead yet!) · 8:47pm Jan 13th, 2017
The next chapter of Let's Dance! is a work in progress. Sorry it's taking a while, but I've been dealing with all kinds of things; like life in general. I've been volunteering at my daughter's school library twice a week (my daughter is in 2nd grade) and dealing with my depression and anxiety. The anxiety I've been managing fine for the most part, and as long as I try to keep a positive outlook on things (my husband and my daughter are my inspiration to keep going) and remember to take my medication, the depression is being managed as well.
Below is a pic I took of my notebook containing the handwritten version of Let's Dance! All those scribbles and cross-outs are a common occurrence in all my writing notebooks. I also have always had this compulsion to only use one specific writing tool of choice and only that one, from start to finish. For example: for this one story (not the one I'm currently working on), my thought process is as follows: Main male character has red eyes ---> Write story in red notebook ---> Write story with red mechanical pencil
My husband says I have issues when I can't find the pen or pencil I was using for a certain story and am unable to work on said story. I just roll my eyes at him.
If you ever need someone to talk to, you can always note me. I deal with similar problems, and can maybe help you. Maybe.
