Blogpost 1/10/17 - Yeah, but where's Chapter 15?! · 2:36pm Jan 10th, 2017
Alright, alright, two blogposts in a row of reported delays is a kinda shitty way to start off the new year, but dammit I promised myself I'm going to give y'all weekly updates.
Unfortunately what I had believed to be allergies last week developed into a huge cold over the weekend, lasting just long enough to force me to cancel all of my weekend plans and basically grinding editing efforts to a crawl. The ball was in my court again last weekend to complete the changes suggested by my editors, and as I had expected, there were some pretty major ones. Two scenes were rewritten, and extra stuff added to others, and a whole new scene had to be added in. Or rather, it was always intended to be added, but what I'd had in the original draft was skeletal.
Good news is that I'm back to 100%, and finished those edits Sunday night, kicking it back to PA and Pipistrelle for round 2. Going off the initial comments, it looks like there isn't going to be another huge overhaul to this chapter, but I'll wait and see. This one is a doozy of a chapter, coming in at just over 10k words, and overall I'm really happy with how it's shaped up, and I'll deliver this one to you guys ASAP.
