So long, and thanks for all the fish. · 4:26am Jan 9th, 2017
This has been a while coming, but I think now that I have finally published the last outstanding work that I had in my backlog, I can do this with a clean(ish) conscience.
I have been enjoying fimfic less and less these days, not due to any drama or anything that has happened, other than perhaps just a waning interest in fanfiction in general. Of the 15 stories I had left I was tracking, 10 of them update once a year, if that, so I am guessing I am not the only one with a waning interest.
During my time here, I've met some chill peeps, two I will give a shout out to directly: Magic Man and Level Dasher, who have both become super cool bros in real life, the later even becoming my go-to guy for editing. And even if you didn't get a name check here, I probably enjoyed chatting with you in the comments sections of mine and other people's stories.
From here on out, I am going to be focusing my attention on my Unity development, and most likely anything that ends up getting published will be under the name Crystal Moose anyway.
Thanks to you all, this ride has been a great few years.
It's been great fun, Moosey. You gave us a lot of laughs and good stories (including one of the most competent Shadowrun crossovers I've had the chance to read).
You might amble back here some day — it doesn't seem very common, but it happens — but even if you don't, we'll watch the skis when the weather reports "Crystal with a chance of Moose."
Well, I'm sorry to see you go, but I hope stuff goes well for you, wherever you go (which seems to be into Unity development).
Have fun with that!
And feel free to wander back on by.
Always been a pleasure to work with you, buddy. You've still got an adoptive daughter with me, so you won't really be totally leaving just yet—I might be coming to you every now and then for a check-in until that story's reached its completion, and that may not be for a while.
It was great to finally finish that final collab, even if it did kind of flop, but it was fun nonetheless (apparently, according to the Featured folder, it was actually featured at some point—search my name in the search box and the story should pop up).
I've only got one more semester left, so if at any point you want to call on me for a look-see at something, don't be afraid to ask. Always happy to help a buddy.
I may not see you here, but I'll definitely 'see' you elsewhere.
This is the third user I followed who is leaving us! Why is this happening!?
may your journey be a peaceful one
Awww.
Well, good luck in your endeavors, pony-related or otherwise!
See you later, Space Cowboy.
Many thanks to you, and good luck in your future travails.
You're awesome, Moose. Stay that way. Drop a line sometime.
