It's been one year today since I posted my story. · 4:16am Jan 4th, 2017
Only 94,648 written in an entire year... I need to step up my game.
Anyway, for anyone that still cares or remembers this story, I am working on the next chapter and hope to release it sometime this month.
More details and sorry excuses after the break.
Question: Okay, so you want to know why it has taken me 65 days and still counting to write my next chapter?
Answer: Pure ineptitude. I just kept putting my next chapter on the back burner and only fleshing out plot points. I know what happens in the last three/four chapters of this arc, but I haven't been diligently writing.
Question: How many words do I have?
Answer: Currently, as of this blog post being posted, 1548 words. I wish I could say I did a massive scrap, like what happened to the previous chapter, but that isn't the case here.
Question: Is anything going to change?
Answer: Most likely! I realized last year that video games, no matter what type of PC I have, fail to bring me joy and are a time sink I need to limit even further than I already have. I see writing as something that I both enjoy, or at least think I do, and something that is improving me in some way, so it should become something I do everyday this year... alongside getting some exercise and sun so I no longer have my completely untanned white skin and lack of any muscle mass.
Question: Have you read everything important?
Answer: Yes. I'd advise you stop right here. What follows next is every single thing I can remember doing in the past 65 days that wasn't to do with my story.
Video Games Played
• TES3: Morrowind (Just modded it, then played enough to decide I didn't want to play it after all.)
• TES4: Oblivion (See Morrowind comment.)
• TES5: Skyrim (See Morrowind comment.)
• Fallout 3 (See Morrowind comment.)
• Fallout 4 (See Morrowind comment.)
• Fallout: New Vegas (Shouldn't have bothered with it until/if Project Brazil comes out for it.)
• Enter the Gungeon (Fun and challenging, but man do some of the unlockables get grindy.)
• Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Nostalgia trip to a series I loved on the PS2 and had neglected to play on the PS3, which was a video game system just being used for Blu-Ray movies and streaming video for all the time I've had it available.)
• Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty (Same comment as Tools of Destruction.)
• Binding of Isaac: Antibirth (Because I can't escape Binding of Isaac)
So, that was about six weeks, where did the other two and a half weeks go? TV Shows.
TV Shows Watched
• One Punch Man
• Daria (Seasons one through four)
• Man Seeking Woman (Season one and two)
• Ash Vs. Evil Dead (I actually didn't get to see the last episode of the second season since it aired after I cut the cable. Oh well.
• Dusk Till Dawn: The TV Series (Season three)
• Man in the High Castle (Season two)
• Van Helsing (I have bad taste.)
• West World
• Incorporated (Probably another sign I have bad taste.)
And that's pretty much everything that comes to mind. There were, of course, the holidays taking up some time, alongside the depression that I always seem to get around the holidays, but neither of those took up that much time... well, I guess the depression was just kind of a constant companion through all of the stuff really.
Anyway, I hope anyone that reads this is doing well. I know one thing by this point, if I finish this arc in my story, I'll probably make a blog post that is just a recap of arc one that I'll put a link to in the first chapter of arc two.
You should try watching something upbeat and dense. Check out FLCL. You might have a bunch of energy by the end of it.

I second that, since I doubt its a coincidence that you (myself and many others included) suddenly feel unmotivated at the time the MLP season ended. Maybe read a few feel-good-stories on the site? Then maybe write your own happy story? You could see it as a sort of therapeutical thing.
100k words in a year sounds pretty decent to me, some of the best stories on the site only update with 20-40k words a year.
