[FMP] New Reading, New Plans, and New Pants!

The pants are optional.

First and foremost: another user has generously come forward with a dramatic reading of Fullmetal Pony! So far he's completed chapter 0.1, but I'm sure he plans to do more as soon as time permits him. Check out his work and give him some love! (That intro, though... It's cool enough on its own, and has so much potential to be even greater!)

I'll be adding this video in to the chapter, as well as future videos into appropriate chapters, after I return to Maryland and get back to my work desk.

Second: we're done with chapter three! After several months of drafting, editing, re-drafting, cutting, and polishing, the backstory to Twi' and Shine is completed...and damn am I glad to have it finished! I went into this entire chapter with the knowledge that I had to make it good, as well as the anxiety that came with trying to adapt such a critical scene in FMA. You can clearly see some differences between the two, and I admit that I did not put down all that actually happened (there's a mystery afoot, ooo~), yet through it all I can say that I am happy with the end result. It's been a long time since I've had a change to flex my terror muscle!

The publishing of chapter three also brought about the first round of minor revisions to the entire story-to-date. Many of these changes were, as stated, minor: a correction here, a line break there, and a battery of spelling fixes. The only change that would be considered 'big' is the removal of single-quotes that surrounded character's thoughts. They still appear in italics while in their perspective, but I scrapped the opening and closing quote marks since I never see anyone else do them. That includes fanfic author, freelance writer, or professional novelist. I was always the exception, and now I'm in the rule!

Also new to chapter three is a fixed perspective with Flash Sentry. We get to follow his train on thought as 3.4 brings us back to the current timeline...but it was not always like this. Would you like to see what it used to be?Take a look at how things were from Rainbow's perspective.

Finally, as stated in the footer of 3.4 itself, TwiBest and I are gonna knock our heads together and hash out the major storyline synopsis for the next few weeks. I've done similar things for my game storylines, so I hope to make a fast process of it...but it'll still try to collect the entire story into one document, so there are bound to be a lot of pages. The document will go a long way in guiding the storyline, since everything so far has basically been me testing the waters and seeing what sinks and what swims.

(Also a cool tidbit: every time I published a segment of chapter 3, the story popped up in the front page! This was actually not my intent - that is, cutting up content to increase front-page time - but it's a cool effect. I saw it climb up to no. 7 when 3.4 came out, so huzzah!)

Now time to get back to the family! I hear we're having steak taquitos!

P.S.: I'm currently cancelling a search for any active pre-readers, since all my efforts thus far have been fruitless and I'm frustrated with it. I'll personally seek one out after the synopsis is marginally complete.
