    Watch (This) Space

    Hello everyone!

I've been gone on hiatus for a few years. I stopped watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in the middle of the seventh season. But a few months ago, my interest was rekindled. And the last two seasons were fantastic. The high point, for me, is the new characters -- the Student Six -- who breathed fresh life into the show.

As the Curtains Close · 11:59am Jan 1st, 2017

There is no doubt that 2016 was a rough year in many respects for a great many people. But let us not forget that the year also brought its share of joys. One of those was an absolutely amazing season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

As the year drew to a close, it also brought us the final chapter of one of the most beloved and impressive tales in the Equestrian Wasteland. Let us all take a moment to show our thanks, appreciation and deep respect for FuzzyVeeVee and the incredible work that he has given to us, both in the Fallout: Equestria community and the MLP:FiM fandom.

As we look to the coming year, let us take to heart the virtue of Murky.

art by Dafnafire

Let your hope burn brightly. Let it be a fire in the darkness that brings light, warmth and inspiration to all around you.

And as I urged last year, let us take the time to remember friends and family, both distant and present. And let us reflect on the last year: all that it has given us, and all that we have learned. How we have grown, and how we have grown closer or apart. Let us be thankful for what has passed (and, in some cases, thankful we lived through it), and look forward to what is to come.

Farewell to 2016. We close the curtains on the year gone by. And open them on a new one.

yay for murky!

also, happy new year hornymom!

Amen Kkat. Hopefully 2017 will be a fruitful year for us all.

2017 shall be a new leaf for me. After what happened to me, it is clear I need to make severe changes if I wish to see 2018.

I am thankful that I have the chance to do so.

God, what an appalling year. But, though our democracy may have failed and delivered us into the greasy palms of a subhuman mongrel masquerading as a human being, at least I can say that we still have each other. Thank you for all you've done this year, Kkat! You've made things just a little bit bearable.

4364353 last year sucked but we can only hope for da best here man.......

also honestly both of the were probably subhumans......... trump was just the more transparent subhuman and that is what confuses me.

4364359 Clinton was not, and now this country will spend the next four years learning why and regretting their choice. She doesn't deserve what happened, but I'm beginning to think that we do.

4364366
not the right place for this sort of of things mate

4364366 i spent nine months studying as much as i can about all potential candidates. trying to be statistic about it. no one really was any good for the country. maybe except bernie sanders simply from the lack of scandals in his career history and that he did fairly well inspite of having both political bias against him, and without many significant donors.
guy could inspire people basically.

by all means statistically hillary was an immensely poor candidate. her history and tendency to switch what she was saying around when politically motivated but ultimately go against her word once it was safe was the major one. i discluded the whole email scandal from it, albeit that shows a sheer incompetence on her part in terms of managing her resources and information.
she would have worked far more for her money interest than the interest of the country. she has proven this time and again.

trump may well be worse. he has said a lot of shit but we do not know how much of it was the manipulate people and how much is his legitimtae world views. however ignoring that, he is an extremely competent individual reliant on how broken the nation's financial system is,, else he would have tanked decades ago.

so we were left with two extremely incompetent individual and thus people went on about who was less despised in comparison. that is not how the system should work. democracy utterly failed us so we should be getting pissed at the government rather than each other. else this will just happen again

lets close the currtens and have a nice new year, also, thats an amazing looking phenix, and i wish they make an episode were they find the surviving pinky clones

4364353 4364359 Please dispense with the political debate. If you prefer, take it to Private Messages or an appropriate forum.

4364394 i would rather not continue it on private stuff. but yeah i'll lower it down now.

though yeah this year. stinky. glad its gone.

I said this on Murky, so I'll say it here:

Murky was always free

"I'd like to be free, but I'm not. And the harder I cling to that idea, the more miserable I'll be that I'm stuck here. And this work is hard enough without extra misery. Speaking of which, I should get back to it.

He just didn't know yet.

And when one thinks of slavery, well, an explosive collar is the least dangerous out there
i.imgbox.com/SdttEFyh
One could become enslaved to control, to become Master. A fixation on ones own ideology and dogmas, and to see all others as enslaved to it as you are.

Or...

i.imgbox.com/ruswwbGi
Become a slave to ones past.

Does he know his own history, this pony? The Why of things? For one man became a slave to another through obsession, the chain of servitude forged in the wakening of the Divide, his devotion to a Courier shackling as surely to the ruins of Nation taking its first breath as any slaver

i.imgbox.com/khMsShxs

Others become slaves for lacking the spine to be their own Master

i.imgbox.com/yjQcmks8

While another becomes a slave to depravity.

i.imgbox.com/uQothvoe

And one gave up all she had, became a slave to both a Virtue and Equestria, because she hoped for a land without slave or Master.

Getting there... thats not the hard part. It's letting go

Well if anything, it should be an interesting new year. With politics, celebrities and other stuff happening in life, it certainly had its ups and downs or even a corkscrew here and there.

but to be fair. It also had some interesting things as well. Time with family. A few interesting movies. (I rather enjoyed "amazing beasts and where to find them.") And even completion of Murky Number Seven. (You know, it's interesting. Murky almost sounds like Lucky, I wonder if Murky heard his own name wrong?)

So yeah, it wasn't totally a bleak and dismal year. I certainly won't be inviting 2016 back for a drink and talk about good times. But I will be hopeful despite how it went last year, this year could possibly be a bit better with a bit of elbow grease and a hopeful outlook.:rainbowdetermined2:

Happy New Year, Kkat! I'm actually looking forward to my very long list of new movies this year as it just keeps growing.

And here's hoping for a better year going forward. And to more pony!

Happy New Year!
Hope for New Year!

One of those was an absolutely amazing season of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

yes yes it was. And, hey just look at what we have coming up, another season, and given every season has been better then the last, MASSIVE HYPE!, Plus three EQG specials... and given the quality they've been showing since the trainwreck that was the first one, more hype. And of course... The Big Damn Movie! SO MUCH HYPE!!!!! Commence the Year of Pony!

As to Murky... YAY! Grats to that... now to decide if i should read it or not..... can't think of any story I've been this divided on. on the one hoof, I know there is a lot of great stuff in there, a lot of powerful things, a lot of just great things that I know I'd love about it and want to experience. But on the other.. I also know there is a lot of hardship, a lot of suffering and.. a lot of things that I know I do not do well with, especially in stories that I get sucked into. I want to know that story.. but also sacred about how bad it'll hurt to do so......

Either way, glad to see it's complete, always great when epic stories get a conclusion and don't just.... stop updating. (Looking at you Crisis: Equestria seriously, stopped on chapter 37 (maybe 38) out of a planned 40 right when the big Bad reveled his full plan and began putting it in motion.)

Also, glad you liked the Hooves of Fate side story, Sprocket really is amazing at getting emotions just right..... likely because of just how long he obsesses over every single line. He was only slightly exaggerating how many revisions he had me working through trying to get it just right :derpytongue2:

4364829 If it helps at all, Murky Number Seven has a happy ending. With no permanent suffering.

4364875 Yeah, I did hear that at least... maybe at somepoint, give it a try and.. just kind of skim over the harder parts maybe....

Happy this year!

I was going through my documents in preparation for a computer upgrade, and came across one I'd titled "Angels on the Moon - FoE". Reading your proposed music video frames while listening to the song still gives me the chills all these years later, and I thank you for that, Kkat. I tried to find the blog post or other place where you'd originally posted that, and couldn't find it as I didn't have a source link in my text file. I wonder if you or anyone reading this would remember?

4365105 I remember that. :twilightsheepish: I still envision that when listening to the song.

I don't know how you do it. You always manage to make my cynical attitude lighten.
If only for a while.
Still have to watch the season. But by what I see, this should be a grand one.
Auld Lang syne. happy new year

Happy New Year!
Great to hear Murky Number Seven is close to being complete. I will definitely read that too.

I see a lot of people who think this season of MLP was the worst... I understand everyone has differing opinions but I really don't understand this one. Does anyone think they might know?

Also happy curtain closing.

I don't know, maybe I missed that, but have you mentioned in your blog that the new Fallout: Equestria printing project has started in order to celebrate the 5 years anniversary since the completion?

Zemming and co are really set to deliver once again!

Imagine wandering through the wasteland. You discover a building that is strangely intact amidst the shell-shocked ruins that once formed a city. Inside you find books - shelves upon shelves of books. Old and new books all alike in one aspect; They beckon you deeper. As you walk, your fingers run along their spines, leaving a path in the dust which stood undisturbed for centuries. You delve deeper and deeper into the depths of the building. Finally, you reach a room empty save for an ominous black leather tome which rests on a podium in the center of the room. Its gilded pages implore you to explore the secrets within.

This is The Book of Littlepip. A single-volume, leather hardcover book with lightweight paper, gilded edges, ribbed spine - the works. A book to stand the test of time. A book to define the pinnacle of what this fandom can achieve.

Thank you very much for the congrats on completing MN7, Kkat. It's been a long journey, sometimes didn't think I'd get there. I now do understand that it isn't pandering when I see authors saying "You folks got me this far by giving it a chance." It's a reality.

It means a lot to hear it here after that long working in that world, I'm a little flattered. I'm sure Lucid and Dafnafire will also have a little smile to see some exposure on their art out here too.

After all, I just knew I had to let 2016 for all its bad rep end with something worth feeling hope for. ;)
