    "School Daze"

I'm doing my best to not judge before I watch, but I'm I the only one who thinks that The School of Friendship sounds a bit...cheesy?
I mean, what would the classes be? Sharing 101? Dealing With Negative Emotions-OK, the second one is actually a pretty good idea. Heck, maybe I'm being a little too rough on it.

Hard To Say Good Bye Is Getting Harder To Write

I'm putting it on hiatus. It's hard, but I have to. Months ago, I promised I'd have a chapter up sooner then the last one and I've failed to keep that promise. Badly. I had the entire story planned out, I swear. I knew what I wanted written and I was prepared to write it down. But somewhere along the line stuff happened. It's not time. I always knew what was going to happen at the end, I think a

    M-Boom 2: The Cloppening

I see it in the new stories category. I smell it in the Popular stories box. I sense it in the featured section.
(I'm sorta noticing that with Mature rated stories and the front page, they're typically rare-one or two every so often. But a few times, there'll be quite a few all over-then wham! Everything's back to the way it was)

Speaking My Mind: Look Before You Sleep · 8:42am Dec 28th, 2016

Warning: Blatant Opinonating/Venting. Apologies beforehand.
There, now that that's out of the way, let me say something else. I. HATE. "Feud" episodes. Why do I hate "feud" episodes? Because they are annoying and predictable. Why are they annoying and predictable? Characters get into a fight over something ridiculous, character's IQs drop so they can do petty things to eachother, and then they realize how stupid they are being and make up on the spot. Roll Credits! Yawn.
And I'm afraid that this episode is just that. I wish that more ponies were present, but I could forgive that if the plot weren’t so predictable. Yes, I suppose the ending was sweet, but the whole episode just felt wrong. Most of the cast was gone, Applejack and Rarity were five year olds, and Twilight…
Ah...Twilight. Most detractors of this episode overlook her, but I do not. I will pull no punches.
I really hated the way Twilight acted in this episode. Her two friends were obviously very angry with eachother, and the whole time she was trying to force them together, and things grew ten times worse thanks to her trying to have a slumber party instead of trying to at least try and understand that they were not exactly on the most ideal terms for such a thing! And then when things all go wrong, she throws a tantrum. and then everything gets worse. But somehow, that makes it all better! It makes no sense.

Twilight Sparkle: I hope you're happy, both of you. You've ruined my very first slumber party. The makeover, the s'mores, Truth or Dare, the pillow fight... I mean, is there anything else that could possibly go wrong?

I’m sorry Twilight, but you brought this upon yourself. It was never a slumber party to begin with. Two ponies were fighting. You tried to bring them closer together even when it became obvious that what they really needed was space, but no, you had to have a slumber party, and that “slumber party” just kept driving the rift in deeper. They both tried to politely turn you down…

Rarity: Oh! Uh, goodness. Uh, I do believe I have another engagement scheduled for this evening that completely slipped my mind until just now. [nervous laugh] Ah, silly me, I can't possibly stay here all night -- with Applejack.

Applejack: Slumber 101: Everything You... Oh hey, heh, would'ja look at the time. I gotta skidaddle on home quick. I'm powerful late for, uh, fer somethin'. Uh, g'night. [yelps] Or maybe I'll sit here for a spell.
Twilight Sparkle: Hurray, slumber party!

I suppose that for a pony still learning the basics of friendship, it makes sense. But they could have at least had her learn something from it. But no, Applejack and Rarity are the only ones in the wrong, and we’re suppose to feel wholeheartedly sorry for Twilight having her first slumber party be ruined.
That’s not to say it’s all Twilight’s fault. It was everyone's fault. Applejack and Rarity should have been more mature. Twilight shouldn’t have added fuel to the fire.
That, combined with what was for me a very hard to swallow ending (I mean, really-The three ponies have had a very trying night-Applejack and Rarity were fighting, while Twilight had her nose buried in a book, and then a freaking tree branch crashed through their room-then poof! Everything becomes OK, Twilight gets her slumber party, Applejack and Rarity make up (And fight over who was worse in their spat) and now they all want another one?! Gee whiz.)
In conclusion, this episode was one of the show’s low points. Childish Applejack and Rarity, ignorant Twilight, and a cliched plotline. I know what episode I’m not gonna rewatch any time soon.
