-Timber was summoned by Spike via experiment.  Although the little guy won’t do much while its still young, he turns into a surprisingly powerful ally for Spike as he grows and it will do anything can to not fall behind his master/ dad/ summoner.  Adores Spike and Mayor Mare.  Dislikes green for some reason.

Evolution Tree Explanation:

Baby Timberwolf:  A baby Timberwolf is a being born from life cores or summoned by a spirit.  They are born in packs that commonly follow a single leader.  The leader is commonly a special Timberwolf since its commonly the only one the has true free will but none in the pack notice this since they think that they all have free will.  Surviving is their main goal while in this state.

Timberwolf (Adult):  The evolved form of a baby timberwolf.  Aside from their goal and height, very little has changed.  The goal is now to defend what allowed them to be born or their terrain as well as attack whatever the summoner tells it to.  Timberwolves are bigger version of a baby timberwolf, increasing its battle ability overall.  Some of the Timberwolves may get something Special after evolving.

-Survivor Line:

Alpha Timberwolf:  This is a Timberwolf that snuck into a pack as pup after its own pack was killed.  It grows with its new pack with the self imposed mission of protecting the pack at all costs.  No one, not even the summoner, tend to notice when it infiltrates.  Impossible to distinguish from other timberwolf unless you fight them.  Tend to be smarter.

Giant Timberwolf:  In an attempt to save its comrades, it absorbs them and many trees and into itself forcing it to evolve into a giant timberwolf.  Considered unbeatable since no one knows its weakness.  Its surprisingly easy to escape from it though, this also means that it rarely gets anything to eat since it has so many life cores that it develops a stomach just to sustain it.

Red Core Timberwolf:  Going so long without eating, its Life Core turns red from lack of eating.  The magic also eats its own body shrinking it to the size of a regular timberwolf but don’t be fooled, it has lost all reasoning and now only knows one thing, eat.  It glows red and it's extremely smart and strong.  EXTREME CAUTION IS ADVISED.  Very rare since few giant timberwolf survive t hunger long enough to evolve.

-Growth Through Time Line:

Oak Timberwolf:  After living for roughly 100 years without dying, the pack evolves into an Oak Timberwolf.  Taking the coloration and strength of fine oak wood, this wolfs are stronger, have higher defense and are smarter than regular timberwolves.  The leader is usually the first to evolve.  Earth ponies can still take them apart with their strength.

Ancient Timberwolf:  All oak timberwolf that survive for a total 200 years tend to evolve into the most powerful version of a timberwolf(that is physical) known to the world, the Ancient Timberwolf.  Their bodies are made from petrified wood, making them tough enough to survive a strike equivalent to that of 500 especially strong earth ponies plus 10 alicorn at the same time.  They are slower than regular timberwolves and their packs tend to be small, between 2-5 instead of the regular 5-10 packs.  Thanks to their age, they know many secrets of the world.  They know so much that some are even capable of talking.

Life Spirit:  Finally reaching the end of their physical lives, the ancient timberwolves let go of their bodies and evolve into the rare and near invulnerable Life Spirit.  Known as guardians of forest, they bring peace and prosperity to the forest they live in.  Something you don’t want to see from these wolves is their wrath so avoid damaging their homes at all costs.  They are known to be lonely creatures since only the leaders of the pack involve into this form.  Extremely rare in Equestria.

-Reborn Line:

Treant:  One out of every three female timberwolves temporarily leave their pack in order to find a peaceful place to lay down their soul so that it evolves into treants.  Once they do that they try to go pack to their pack few make it since they are very weak after leaving their soul (a huge chunk of their life core) to grow and develop.  Treant then live on never seeing their parent again.  In order to live they need to eat life magic.  Very territorial.  Surprisingly rare.

Great Treant:  After eating enough life magic, the tree like creature treant evolves into a Great Treant.  Great Treants have a somewhat humanoid look with a body made of wood.  Still very territorial and dangerous.  Loved by many forest creatures since it gives them fruit it grows in its hair like branches.  If you give them great respect, they will reward you with their trust.  Known for taking care of very rare creatures or plants.  They are known as Great Treants and not by something else because of the great amount of time and care needed to be accepted by them.  That and because they are very beautiful.  Have actual reproductive system meaning that they don't need to be born from timberwolves specifically.  Surprisingly not rare.

Nymph:  After absorbing enough life magic, Great Treants plant their bodies into the ground and partially let them go becoming Nymph.  Known as the most attractive forest creature known, it captivates male victims into mating with them.  After hours of mating, the male is then turned into food for their tree.  Depending on how they grew before evolving, their behavior may change.  If they trusted animals only, they grow into their grounded version as explained above.  If they grew by loving someone or something whole heartedly they instead evolve into a more mobile and less ‘maty’ version of a Nymph.  What they do is that they give to their important person or creature something they cherish and would never let go, even if threaten.  Before either one of them realize though, the treant evolves and fuses with her important one.  The benefits from this would be the important becoming stronger and gaining control over very power life spells and energy as well as having a powerful bodyguard.  The advantages for the Nymph though are living with the person she loves, moving far more than it has done before and more access to a wider diversity of powers or spells.  This version doesn't require to feed on expecting victims.  Very open minded.  Rare.
